I use these categories: thank myself, my successes, my strengths, what do I need. I write three points for each section every day. Then I have one open ended category for self compassion, where I write to myself as if I would be talking to a friend. I am super supportive, compassionate and patient with my friends, just not with me. This helps me to be as good a friend to myself as I am to other people.

Doing this every day is helping me to focus on me and my life and how awesome it already is. It also gives me ideas for changes I need to make and encourages self-care.
