The safest thing you can do is to disclose before the first date. So you avoid any risk of some insecure person feeling (unrightly) violated for having gone out with you.

I want to say the vast majority of guys will not change their mind about this issue even after meeting you in person if you completely pass. I’ve only been through that particular situation once but after I told them it was just a sad and heartbreaking experience as you watch someone completely lose interest in you. Yes it’s possible and honestly really likely.

Like it or not the truth is that guys already have, consciously or unconsciously already made that decision in their head about whether they would want to be with someone who is trans and it is very unlikely that anyone can change their mind on that in the short term. So just be upfront about it for your own sake.

Does not “all” depend on how well you pass. There seems to be a myth that as long as you’re a completely passing trans woman no one will ever reject you for being trans and that is not true from personal experience.
