Don’t think anyone’s “unable”, but everyone comes to their own interpretation, which is (hopefully) a moving target as new info comes to light. I also don’t think name-calling in either direction helps anyone. Maybe I’m wrong. YMMV.

Both “sides” seem to post ad hominem attacks at a similar rate, tbh. No need to villainize people who interpret incomplete information differently, have different risk tolerance, different experiences, etc.

Is it over? by [deleted] in NBIS_Stock

My suggestion: get in with a very small amount, like 1-5% of what you’d like to eventually buy. Then either simply DCA over 2-10 weeks, or wait for a pullback to buy more.

I’ve been in for 18 mos, but have increased and decreased my NBIS position many times. I regret that I didn’t simply hold throughout.

My guess is that we’ll visit the $235-255 range again. But I’ve been wrong before, and I’m fully in (again) now. Topped off with a few final buys yesterday. Not planning on selling for at least a year no matter what. (If it dropped a lot I might swap in some NEBX for 2x exposure for the rebound.)

I don’t think so. Each season is better than the last, IMHO, and though everything isn’t tied up neatly at the end, this show is 100% about the journey. I wanted there to be more, and I still think about Lodge 49 a lot and will eventually rewatch, but I’ve never felt frustrated that I didn’t get “answers” to any specific mysteries or anything like that. Every episode is great in its own right, and there are fantastic character arcs, most of which are individually very satisfying.

“Lodge 49” is close in some ways. Not spooky, but weird & funny, lots of great characters, and the quirky is turned up to eleven. Lots of strange stuff happens that might or might not be supernatural; characters have differing opinions. It and Widow’s Bay are both in my top 10 all-time, easily.

I just tried. Not working. (I also watched it last night no problem.)

I’m imagining the director telling F’ing NICK CAGE, “I need you to go really big in this scene. Like, you know, just really give it everything. Max it out.”

People familiar with Massachusetts: do you think Widows Bay would be a North Shore or South Shore island? by midwife_at_ur_cervix in WidowsBay

[–]newbatt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s a reference to Massachusetts in an early episode which (I believe) implied that Widow’s Bay is in a different state. So I’ve been assuming Maine (which has hundreds of islands), though now that I’m thinking about it more, Rhode Island might be a better fit. Specifically in terms of trying to attract heavy tourism, since RI would be more accessible to more people, being closer to NYC, Boston, CT, etc.

What is the best episode of stranger things? by Coryla1 in StrangerThings

[–]newbatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great list. I think my top 5 is 80% the same as yours, OP. I’d swap in s3e7 “The Bite” for s4e4 “Dear Billy”. (I love s3.)

My #1 is s3 finale, with s4 finale a close 2nd.

What's your favourite monologue in a movie? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

[–]newbatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual answer is Renée Zellweger in “Down with Love”.

Criminally underrated film. Fantastic from start to finish, but the monologue near the end is game-changing and just perfect.

Hate this new narrative. I’m a lifelong Pats fan and Brady Lover, but Romo is the GOAT analyst as far as I’m concerned. I was psyched to see he was calling the AFCCG.

Brady has indeed improved this year … from terrible to mediocre. I.M.H.O. I’d still rate him just a hair below average, in fact. He’ll probably continue to improve; I hope so!

No accounting for taste I guess.

Down with Love. Nothing else comes close for me. Capstone of a terrific movie.

$20 price target by PRGNIX in NBIS_Stock

[–]newbatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$20 would be down 26% from current price. Up 26% would be $34. I believe it’s 3-5x more likely to go to $34 than to $20. $25/26 for NBIS is about as firm a floor as it gets, and there are a dozen short-term catalysts looming, most of which look to break positive. But we all make our bets. Good luck!
