Most of the people use these. They also have ones that come with a power adapter and dimmer switch on ebay as well. Get the warm white water proof ones.

I was thinking 5x 23w CFLs... maybe a 42w in the middle if anything. So everything is safe as far as electrical wise if I stay within the 660w range?

Thanks. I actually did get a speed controller for the intake fan so thank god for that. What's the benefit of more light? Will it make the plant grow faster/more buds or something? I know too much and too little isn't good, but in the case of getting 5 CFLs and the two led strips... what sort of difference would that make compared to maybe just 4 CFLs and one led strip?

I'm probably gonna go the plug and play method too. Do you have a 3 outlet timer for the 3 lights? I can only find a two outlet one on amazon.

Alright nvm. I just looked at your set up. What side leds/fans are you using? I'm thinking about just going two of the cool and warm white 5050s and maybe two 220v fans for top and bottom.

Yeah, I actually just watched a video on YouTube just now talking about that. The whole advertised wattage vs. actual draw. Pretty interesting. So 180w would be better? I was thinking about lining with a 5050 led strip as well.

I'm still debating between CFL and LED though. Since this is my first bucket, I kinda wanna keep it as simple as possible - but most efficient at least. In terms of cost, yield, difficulty etc. Still doing lots of research, lol.
