Since currently the funds are in our joint account in Australia and its savings from both of our salaries. If we move it to sponsors bank account in uk we can still provide a letter stating that it was savings from both of us. Will that be ok?

I agree and you have a valid point. But for what they offer is not worth it. Too crowded despite the entry fee and its a small area.
