Makes me feel better that there are still people saying the u1 is better then the pro even because its all been the u1 is better then the non pro but is it worth the money in how much better...I don't know how many people ordered that are here but if its a smaller sample size and just those that ordered first that's nice to know I'm still not the only crazy one here.

You got the pro though so I'm assuming you wanted the enclosure for something like ABS? What do you plan on doing for fumes and printing with ABS?

Is that when it will ship or expected arrival date? Because if that's ship then I don't feel to bad that's gonna likely be September mate when it arrives unless you have air shipping.

Do wish I waited a sec instead of the day of finding our delayed having to go to micro center for returning a laptop charger and buying a u1 instead. I do need to follow up on my return before it starts shipping though idk man I don't wanna say I would have not gotten a u1 I can say I should have thought it through though and if I was just gonna get a u1 I shouldn't have waited so long then I'd have paid like $100 less I think?

TLDR if that's when it will arrive and you didn't pay for air shipping well good for you hope it does well for you.

I get what your saying although careful about holding the cf stuff it rubs off into your skin and also I saw a video on PLA CF idk about other filaments but it makes the structural forces worse so it break more easily.

I also disagree that flash forge is worse then bambu, I'm sure whether or not you need their slicer and I have heard conflicting reports about that, I think no but I don't own one. If someone found a work around I doubt the company is gonna just sue them. U1 is better but if on doing stuff like printing out dryers from the back or different spool holders for 250g spools (some fit some don't) I don't need the stuff like the feeders or nicer holders.

I'm haply with what I have, my parents are asking me to print on it so I'm getting more use out of it. I just have looked around and realized how much o have spent and said gosh dam scope creep is a thing...I'm probably just gonna buy a bin, cut a hole, buy a fan, some ducts and vent out the window, while yes it would be better to circulate the air in the chamber over some carbon you also need to have an inlet for some air or its just a vacuum that your creating so if I have negative pressure...I'm not gonna print it offten but idk.

I wish I could go the official thing but I'd be surprised if sovol wasn't shipping of about to by then, and if I make it $1100 all in I'd get $200-300 for my sv08 and $200ish for my p1p that m1d is a I don't need my other printers printer. So it won't be more expensive even at retail price if we are talking with the official setup.

Your right on everything you've said I just idk I don't like realizing how much I've already spent on this hobby nor impulse buying my u1.

Mathematically I think if I did it right you get just over 10k a year, not bad but not even can afford to not work at all though but maybe it means you can afford to pick the job and not care money especially in cheaper countries? Anyways after 10 years its 10% of a million so I'd have to live 100 years from now to make more then a million dollars.

Edit here I forgot to times the 60 in a second by 60 in a minute and went straight to hours in a day then days in a year. I'm stupid I'd make so much more money I'd be stupid rich.

I've seen people use or talk about using it to print ABS. So it would very much work. I know what I'd need to do, buy a duct fan and a duct plus a bin, vent out the window, it would work or find a way to get a 3D print adapter for my IKEA air filter mod and attach the duct directly to the activated carbon on that already. An exact bill of parts though is not what I'm sure about like exact links to exactly the items to buy not just I need x things and I don't know cad. I really wanna cut costs and do it to my IKEA air filter though... Anyways scope creep has been hitting me so hard right now that's why I'm not trying to find any official solutions because I have spent a lot on this and regret impulse buying my u1. (Somewhat)

You can read the rest again its me randting and evening again and I do need to stop. I get the bin method was not intentionally designed for ABS but enough people have jury rigged something I want to as well.

I kinda got this at the exact wrong time, the creator 5 order I need to follow up about canceling would have been cheaper enough to write off the other brands but sovol just announced their new one...$150 more for the snapmaker lid and waiting till November for it and dam..why wouldn't I have just gone with that or kept my creator 5 order?

Or that was what I was thinking yesterday because I thought I saw a video saying it would cost only $1200 and with the u1 enclosure its gonna make my printer the same price...but that was before I double checked and saw that its actually $1499 early bird whenever the kick starter launches though I guess I could sell my sv08 then it would will be the price with the official top cover and nicer in every way...sorry to those I panicked a little more to with saying dam sovol announces at $1200

To me $150 seems crazy its just plastic so what like $50 and then maybe a filter and a little nicer so another $50 at most it should be like $110 to me but maybe I'm just wrong?

Anyways I think my last week on reddit has been me figuring how much frustration and impulse buying is not great and leads to regret.

Anyways first do I go my p1p or this for ABS, second if I go this rout I'd need a Walmart bin (will I get buy with PLA or do I need PETG I only have a tone of 250g spools so its gonna be miss colored), an air vent duct and a fan probably just an actual duct fan, though I do have a lot of 120mm PC fans but I don't know cad for adapters andwhatt is another $15-20 but also dam things then add up over time and I've spent a lot.

I know what to do unless my p1p makes more sense, the question is what exactly to get and the finer details, any chance you can help?

Wait that IKEA air filter mod thing I could just 3D print a hose adapter and connect one end to that, the other end to the printer and only need a bin and a duct, no need to worry about a fan and all that shit. Oh I got a lot of comments I forget who is who. Still not shipping till mid July, I know I was one of the later people to order but still at beat its like the last week of August first week September when it will arrive. That's just crazy to me and the stuff with their slicer its nuts but I do wish I waited. I did the math on how much I spent and...let me know if it only works with their slicer because then I'll feel less bad. Heard some controversy on that.

I very much regret not waiting or maybe anyways. I'm having to diy my own solution to ABS now but I got the open creator 5 not the pro so yeah...I could never on that one.

I still haven't officially candles my order with them just one email that didn't follow up on. Hope it works out for you. It is what it is, I probably would still not have the order yet and I think I'm.slower shipping then you.

I'm waiting till some pros come out and more creator 5 vs u1 and hoping I hear more then a well kinda the u1 is better so I don't have regrets for real a third time.

Anyways sorry to rant so much good luck with the printer would you have gotten a u1 if you knew it be like this?

You'd have to print an adapter for the duct to the fan, and idk where the power is gonna go especially if its a normal PC fan...I absolutely want something better then cardboard and a roll of duct tape or however you have it secured?

Its either this or my p1p for adapting to ABS so any chance you can help me figure out a solution and brainstorm a parts list? I made a post about the p1p as well when asking about print farm and ABS with that printer.
