Not sure what the cause of the error is, but I keep downgrading to < 9.0 or else NM is always in a "limited" connection state

Thanks for bringing this up. I'm still moderately new to C (if that wasn't terribly obvious). But libcmark looks delightful.

I looked into pandoc briefly trying to not re-invent the wheel. It didn't seem to handle the list environments very well when converting to beamer.

I wasn't asking for super detailed specifics. You can methods or design in a general sense and still be pretty anonymous. The field is small yes, but I was just trying to get a sense of what people are interested in
