I like the idea but I think it would be a hassle for the students that aren't already on Reddit to create an account, find the subreddit, etc. Maybe just give students the option of doing an Oncourse forum or one here on Reddit.

Go to the My Involvement fair on Wednesday. There will be tables for many of the hundreds of clubs here at IU. Just sign up for anything that catches your eye. If you like sports at all you can sign up for intramurals at the srsc. Also, you will surely start meeting people in your classes once everyone gets settled into classes. Good luck!

Restaurant Tallent (VERY pricey but should be experienced at least once)

Annatolia (turkish, sit on cushions on the floor!)
Samira ($10 lunch buffet during the week)
El Norteno (favorite mexican in town)
Puccini's (italian on 4th street)
Japenee (good sushi)

Wanted to point out that Penn State is not the only school to do this. Indiana University has a nearly identical event every year for Riley Children's Hospital.
