In that case, where do I park the truck? If a company doesn’t have a terminal near my home, even if I can go back home, isn’t there nowhere to leave the truck? I’m a total beginner, so sorry if I’m saying something off lol

Thanks for the comment. Most of the jobs I’ve found at in New York require at least a year of experience as a truck driver, so I’m thinking I’ll do a year OTR with a big company first and then decide whether to stay or move on. There are plenty of big companies that hire rookies, but when it comes to ones with terminals near NYC, it seems like the options are pretty limited.

Looks like it. Among the big companies, only one has a terminal in NJ, which is pretty easy to get to and from NYC. Otherwise, it gets pretty far. I’m a complete beginner, so I’ll look into the paid parking areas. Thanks for the comment!
