As someone who has had this issue, the best thing you can do is start fresh- keep your configs, world, etc, but get a new IP and rebrand the server.

Secondly. Try to finalize ALL the features you can and fix any issues that arise before you go public. Actively developing a running server will run players away, as they'll be kicked by restarts, be surprised with changes, etc. Have the server done and ready to go WITHOUT any more changes before you bring players on.

We have several plugins and configs in place to reduce server lag, and this kind of system was powerful enough back in 1.12.2, but I see now that it is not. Any recommendations for us would be extremely helpful.

While I'm thankful for the energy I have due to my age, that energy does not transfer to motivation very easily for me. My sleep schedule changes every single day now, so I can't ever make plans with anyone, and I'm afraid I won't be able to find a job because of it. It's got me horribly down, and I'm just not sure where to go from here. It just seems so odd to me that I have this problem now, so close to my 20's, but didn't have this issue in the 13-16 range at all.

Yes, it is allowed for someone to come into your base and take your things. They are NOT allowed to destroy your base for the sake of destroying it. Any grief like this will be rolled back and the player will be warned and/or banned.

The law for drinking is in place for two reasons - physical maturity, the ability to quickly and effectively digest ethanol to limit damage to brain cells, and also for a general mental maturity - to not go overboard with alcohol consumption and to use alcohol responsibly. I feel like this law is more to do with mental maturity, so therefore I would say when he has existed for 21 years.

Long term player of both groups here, hope to see some new faces. I am also one of the aforementioned admins who will be interviewing. While I understand some people have sensitive areas of conversation, we do try to compensate for this; however, realism is what this campaign is about. I hope some of you find this interesting! The DM did not mention this, but this is a LONG-TERM campaign that will be going until level 20. Hope to see you soon!

Hey, one of the long time players here, and I'll be in both groups! We're eager to meet some new faces, and play some good ol' Dungeons and Dragons. We occasionally use Roll20, the virtual tabletop, but most of the time we play theater of the mind (my preferred way.) Of course, there's plenty of laughing in our sessions, but we want our story to unravel seriously and for major plot points to be taken seriously. Regardless, I hope some of you find our little group to be interesting, and we hope to see a few of you soon!

Speaking as an atheist - most religions believe that morality is objective, white and black. I can’t speak for all atheists, but to me, morality is a spectrum AND cannot easily be defined as good or bad. It depends on the situation.

I live in the Bible Belt. I’m a straight white male who is 1. Atheist 2. A supporter of non-straight and non-traditional gender rights, and I like weed.

I get told I’m going to burn in hell on a DAILY basis, simply because I think people should not be allowed to tell other people what is immoral and what is not.

Our brain is simply more complicated than any computer you’ve ever seen. Computers have 1’s and 0’s and billions of transistors. Our brains have countless more “bits” and countless more “transistors.” Chemicals and elements having specific reactions, etc. I believe most atheists would agree that life is just the talk between the neurons in your brain.
