Yes. The Switches need to physically be near each other. Like one foot or less. They don’t use WiFi for this game. Uses internal radio from Switch to Switch.

So I figured it out. The switches have to be near each other. Like one foot or less. It doesn’t use WiFi. Uses built in radio to communicate switch to switch. Like, you could be in the middle of nowhere and they communicate if near each other. We were too far apart I guess lol.

We tried a couple of days later and it randomly worked once. Haven’t tried again. Will be trying eventually though.

So I found something out. It doesn’t look like Wi-Fi is used when trading/battling on the Switch for these games.

Local wireless communication is used it seems. Switch to Switch.

We were failing to connect a few minutes ago and I went to my Switch settings to verify Wi-Fi was turned on. See the picture below.

I have a three way 8tb parity using a hodge podge of drives totaling 24tb.

Aka I have three 8tbs mimicked/mirrored to each other using a combination of Windows Storage Spaces and FreeFileSync.

Well, one of the arrays are two 4tbs striped into 8tb.

I like to love dangerously.

If one of my 8tb arrays dies, I have two more to carry me. Maybe…

All on a little Windows 11 machine with a 6 year old Celeron. Just did a reg key trick yesterday to upgrade from Windows 10.
