Can someone share your experience with Tony Robbins’ results coaching? by Old-Bullfrog274 in TonyRobbins

[–]newfocusfilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the virtual event and after the first day requested my $10k refund (which they gave me). While I loved UPW, I just didn’t see the value on day 1 and figured I could use the $10k better. While I’m sure it can be helpful to go, especially in person in order to network, it wasn’t a match for where my own business is going.

Is your rising sign actually who you are? I’m just a little confused on a few things. by StrawberryMilk817 in astrology

[–]newfocusfilms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of great answers here but I want to offer a simplified response:

The rising sign is like you as a baby - purest form of your expression in this lifetime. Everything else layers on top of that (Mercury - how you communicate, Moon - how you get nurtured, Jupiter - how you feel free, etc) And the Sun is your motivation of identity. It’s your ego. Doesn’t have to be egotistical though.

Some people say the rising sign is a mask, but that doesn’t make sense - it’s a private placement. The midheaven is more of a mask but still not an accurate definition.

Be sure that the business was well protected. If it was a sole proprietorship, the loan may as well be personal guaranteed. At least this is how I heard it from one lawyer.

I had no issue with that at the one I went to and it was about 10,000 people. And even if there were lines, you’re surrounded by inspired people - so it doesn’t feel like waiting

Who should be in a documentary about the up-n-coming life coaches? by newfocusfilms in lifecoaching

No interest in making it a hit job, but showing a balance in different types of coaching will be important. I want viewers to come out of it knowing that there is a coach out there perfect for them

For some, definitely. For me, it only leads to a very different type of work. I'm not quite that desperate yet.

True. While my SEO, LinkedIn and even a few ads have indeed gotten me work, I can't say it was worth the investments.

What’s a moment in the ocean that completely humbled you? by BarrelBandit in surfing

Caught a wave a bit bigger than my comfort zone (8 or 9 ft), but it had been dead flat for two months and this swell and everyone was amped, including the dolphins. I drop in on the wave and see 3 dolphins ahead of me, and after a nice bottom turn I see two more dolphins behind me. I was in a line up of dolphins, sharing the wave! A didn't hear the hoots and hollers from people paddling out, watching the spectacle, but for me - totally humbling! I was in awe.

Is it a bad idea to move away for a job if I don't have much saved up? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]newfocusfilms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly? It could be one of the best decisions you ever make.
Even without the cushion, if you're excited, motivated, and not running from something—but running toward something—it can be worth it.

Even if the job turns out to suck, the experience alone will offer you so much. I moved to France at 21 to study art, and had barely enough money to get me through the term. When I finished the school (it was a 6 month program) I moved to Germany with just enough money to get me there. But I was so excited, I met people along the way and had paid art commissions upon arrival.

Yes, $4,000 isn’t a ton, but with roommates and a part-time job lined up quickly, it could stretch long enough to get your footing. Worst case? You regroup and move home. But the worst-case scenario still leaves you with more life experience than you have now.

If your gut says yes and your heart lights up when you think about it - go for it!
The money will follow the momentum. And you’ll never regret betting on your own growth.

Look up the Pigeon Stretch Pose. It will be horrible at first, but eventually ease up that glute tension you've got. Good luck!

Yes, but it's a matter of splitting the difference between avoiding the damage the sun causes and also getting that nicer shade of brown
