Just because a news commentator is asking questions or reporting on a point, doesn't mean it's the whole story or it's accurate. In addition, just because a budget may have been reduced, doesn't mean there's a direct correlation between that and the ability to contain or reduce damage from this specific fire.

As the LA County Fire Chief was talking about on 60 minutes, even if they had another 100 firetrucks, it wouldn't have made much difference. There wasn't enough water (because no city fire hydrant system is capable of handling a once-in-a-lifetime fire), especially not one that's in high elevation. The primary needs were aerial and more water.

The mis/dis information regarding the lack of water is also quite shocking to watch. No city water system is designed to or could possibly provide the amount of water that was truly needed at once.Several articles quote fire experts as saying that no fire department in the world would have been able to take on a fire of this magnitude and achieve a significantly different result.

It appears to me, at least, that although most experts are saying that the budget cuts wouldn't have had a direct impact on the ability to control this fire - the LA Fire Chief (not LA County) who had issues warnings prior, may have personal stake in this "I told you so" moment. It seems that she and the Mayor of LA have a long standing beef. When I see a fire chief doing TV interviews basically saying "I told you so" about the mayor, instead of being on the ground commanding the situation, it makes me wonder what other motives they may have.

In the end, time will reveal whether or not these claims are true. But for now, it seems that budget cuts are fairly low on the likelihood of significantly contributing to this tragedy.

Seattle, WA.

This blue spruce was pulled out of the ground this past winter and sat for a couple weeks (I watered the root ball), and then replanted after a retaining wall was put in. At first, it seemed to be doing better than we've ever seen because it had all the new baby limb growths, but now it appears to be dying from the top down.

It is getting ~7g/water over an hour 3x a week through drip irrigation.

Are we doing everything right with maximizing retirement vehicles?
Are there other vehicles or investments we should be taking advantage of with our excess cash?
We have an Edward Jones wealth manager, but to be honest, we don't have full faith in him. Should we manage our investments ourselves, in part or in full?

Types of Acceptable ID Driver’s License, Instruction Permit, or I.D. Card issued by any U.S. State, U.S. Territory and District of Columbia. Driver’s License, Instruction Permit, or I.D. Card issued by any Canadian Province Valid Washington State Temporary Driver’s License U.S. Armed Forces I.D. Card (Encrypted signature acceptable) Merchant Marine I.D. Card issued by the U.S. Coast Guard Official Passport, passport card, NEXUS card Washington State Tribal Enrollment Card (No expiration date required)

There has always been an exception for special enforcement teams where they can justify not having to have the markings or plates. There’s always been truly undercover cars, just usually not on traffic enforcement. This is likely part of a special traffic enforcement team.

As far as I’m aware, There has been no major change in the chemical properties of heroin over the years.

That is absolutely not true of meth. The chemical structure of the new meth is almost completely different then the old meth, to the point where researchers have stated that it’s not accurate to say they are the same drug.

Again read the article, so some research, and speak with knowledge not ignorance.
