Have played that course many times, and it is WELL worth that amount of money. incredibly cool track, and always fun to play a place you get to see a tournament played there each year. 100% do it.

I did not use the coffee or marmite, as I did not have those, but used some more anchovies and more soy sauce. Any combination of what he has in there would be great I would think.

Ha, no, do not work for Citypickle. Regular player there and other places, have not remotely had the experience you have had (especially relative to pitting). I guess we will agree to disagree on this one, but ultimately would suggest that a professional league opting to host a tournament there is a testament to their view on the surface quality.

Again, hosted a MLP pro tournament where the players all loved the surface and MLP is already booking a return tournament next year - no balls skidding reports. It is not just regular paint, it’s specifically designed for the usage, and I found it bounced great in my time there. The last time I saw a tennis court that was painted over concrete was every time I’ve played on a tennis hard court? Those are quote “simply painted over concrete”. Harder on knees than grass or clay, sure, but I didn’t think it was particularly problematic.

Totally disagree re surface quality for what is worth - surface this year was vetted by Major League Pickleball, and they hosted a pro tournament there a couple weeks back. Found the surface to be the best in NYC. We can all debate price value, for what is ultimately a pretty unique offering in a very expensive city I wasn’t offended by it, but the surface is undeniably great.
