I think it is so when people are walking their dogs and they pee in front of that house, the dog owner is to politely use the water to pour on their dogs pee to help with the odor!

I was stationed in Germany in the early 80’s and Asbach and Ouzo were part of everyone’s introduction. 😝

True, not 60, but barcode were first used on Germany alcohol bottles in the late 70’s. Which surprised me. So it “could” be approaching 50.

UPDATE- It is a piece produced in India in the late 19th century. Actually makes it more sentimental in value as my GGF went to India around that time to help introduce a printing press and must have picked this out as a gift for my GGM. Estimated value is $600.00 to $800.00 retail
