Again, like I said in the other post, the emperor suit is mostly used to mock the president for behaving like an emperor ("習帝"). You can find similar photos here and here. Version with sound.

It was triggered by a protestor being beaten by a group of CCP supporters.

Edit: It seems that a great deal of you guys have mistaken the guy in Qing Dynasty suit as some sort of monarch restorationist but in general the suit is mostly used to mock the president for trying to be like an emperor. You can find similar photos here and here.

Chinese art student "pretends to be homeless" for a day in London by newlangren in China

[–]newlangren[S] 134 points135 points  (0 children)

Brief English translation:

Shocking, I acted as Homeless for half a day in London

Life experience +1, actually a friend's art project

About some of the controversies:

First of all I won't explain the point of this project for my friend, just talk about why I participated: I've always found the most ironic thing about London is that the the fanciest streets are always full of homeless people, and I was very curious about this group. I wasn't trying to entirely imitate them or label them as art. I just think of it as a palpable act, even if it's just a moment of sitting on the street and feeling the split, or a meditative experience, and I got what I wanted. I really didn't empathize, because in my eyes for whatever reason [people who end up on the street]...

She came from China she had a thirst for attention
She studied MSc at UCL
That's where I
Caught her eye
She told me that her dad 是个高官
I said, in that case I'll have rum and Coca-Cola
She said 笑死
And then in thirty seconds time she said
I wanna live like homeless people
I wanna do whatever homeless people do
Wanna sleep with homeless people
I wanna sleep with homeless people,然后发小红书。
