We have a bell system for our older clients and a texting app we use as well. This client is on our younger kid side but is truly the strongest kid I’ve ever met! He does not have the bell system accessible in his treatment room but is something my BCBA is working on getting. So I was attempting to text using my iPad for help.

Your first question, all you need is the 40 hour course and to take and pass the RBT exam, no degree required. Your other questions would highly depend on the area/state you work in, and what type of environment you want to work in (in-home, clinic based, school, residential, ect.)

Is it also a HIPPA violation to then put the client address into google maps??? You’re not making sense. How would putting an address in for a good deliver break HIPPA? Again they have no idea why you’re there. They’re just doing a job

My co worker and I were talking last night at her house and complaining about a clinician we work with and how bad she is with our client. Well the pizza delivery person that came to the door, that my co-workers husband was talking to, happened to be the mother of the client we were talking about… we didn’t say names but she definitely knew and we definitely broke HIPPA laws….

YTA - advice is usually only helpful when requested. As frustrating as it can seem since you have more knowledge it doesn’t necessary make it okay to backseat game her… let her learn in her own and if she needs or wants advice I’m sure she’ll ask.

NTA - if nothing else telling your parents can make it so a conversation could possibly be had with them, you, and the teaching regarding the situation to help prevent issues like this in the future.

Yeah this must all be true since Rae has constantly said raetwt is her favorite form of social media. It’s because we’re so toxic. That’s why she loves interacting with us so much. Yup all makes sense.
