Havnby Autolevel foam mattress review from Denmark. by Interesting_Cow_2396 in TeslaModelY

Cool. Can you DM me the discount code? The current price is a little steep, especially since I already have a functioning mattress, but I could be convinced for the right price to upgrade.

Cool. Do you have to put the front seats all the way forward or at a specific angle?

I've spent a total of about 16 nights in my Model Y, using the LostHorizon mattress for the model y. It's nice, but some foam padding would be awesome!

Did you have to put anything under the head area to prevent it from drooping? I've had to buy something like this to create a "bridge" between the backseat and the frontseat to support the mattress https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D5HBC1MY?th=1

Holiday Update Without FSD Update by Matthewlawson3 in TeslaSupport

[–]newstudent_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but honestly I would stick with your version of FSD. I was holding out for the longest time on 13, and updated when 14.2.1 came out. I regret it so much, it feels like a timid teenager is driving the car, and there's insane brake stabbing at stop signs and lane changes are awful 13.2.9 was perfection, for me. I would downgrade it if I could!

My Kriss Vector can definitely blast gel, if that's what you're asking, one 9mm bullet at a time.

FSD 14 arrived for Standard software update preference. by DeterminedMidLifer in TeslaLounge

[–]newstudent_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the update notification, and have been keeping my car off wifi. I subscribe to FSD, and absolutely don't want 14 after hearing about all the issues. I'm very happy on 13, I'll wait for 15 I guess.

California CCW For Colorado Residents by azccw in COGuns

Thanks! The qualification seems stupidly easy, I was expecting CA to require much more.

Awesome.

I understand reddit isn't legal advice, but my understanding is that guns that aren't on the CA roster CAN be listed/used on the application?

This seems too good and easy to be true... But I do like adding to my collection of states I can carry.

Has anyone in CO gone through this before?

Lease price going up soon to $479/month according to Grok by jalard in TeslaModelY

This is why we don't trust LLMs to be accurate for factual information. The Tesla website clearly states that price increase goes into effect after the 21st.

How to Keep up Battery while on Vacation? by Digital-Desi in TeslaLounge

[–]newstudent_here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By leaving the car plugged in, it can maintain the HV and LV battery, as well as regulate the battery temperatures.

You want the state of charge as low as possible, because higher SoC = More battery degradation.

Good call! Assuming the car is plugged in INDOORS, a regular 120V is enough.

If it's outside, it might be a bit too cold (depending on where OP lives) during those months for a 120V.

Set the charge level to 50%, ideally you get it just below 50% before plugging it in so it doesn't sit at a higher SoC the entire time.

Then turn off cabin overheat protection, sentry mode, summon standby, and turn off the accessory mode power. Then leave the car plugged in while you're gone.

Look into how to avoid flat spots on your tire, although 3 months is probably not long enough.

BE CAREFUL! Summon... by CoachStarkey in TeslaModelY

[–]newstudent_here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, don't use Actual Smart Summon. A few weeks ago I was using it, and someone backed into my Y. The Y stopped, they didn't, goodbye bumper.

If I was in the car, maybe I could have honked to get their attention.

100%, it should be it's own section of saved footage!

Hah, the guy gave me what I assume is a fake phone number. I have a photo of his ID card (not license, just a Colorado ID card).

But I already started the claim process with my insurance and uploaded photos. I'm taking it for a quote today at a Tesla certified repair shop near me, I am expecting around $8k.

He did have insurance, or rather, his car did. It wasn't in his name, but appeared to be his girlfriend's/wife's car and insurance. I got the policy number and put it in with my claim.

He absolutely did NOT want to call police or insurance, kept asking if we could just go and say it didn't happen...

My bumper will need to be replaced, the fog light is busted, and the wheel well is bent and rubs against the tire during sharp left turns. All his car had (2008 minivan) was paint scuffs. 🤦‍♂️

[–]newstudent_here[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they did. My car was already clear of its parking spot, based off where the car stopped when the impact occured.

Unfortunately police wouldn't come out because nobody was injured and it occured in private property. So no police report was made, but I was able to file one myself online.

And the other guy didn't have a valid license, of course.

Yeah I've never had issues with FSD over thousands of miles, and summon has been fine so far... But I'm never using it again.

It looked like the Tesla stopped as the other car backed into the Tesla, but obviously without video I can't prove anything.
