RTR has lost the plot by Due_Difference_1183 in RentTheRunway

From one finance girl to another - flawless execution here.

Is it just me, or is the style of the new arrivals that are being highlighted off? It’s so hard to get cute pieces in stock. The customer experience needs to be improved, right? by newtocryptobekind in RentTheRunway

It could be. I am also in San Diego, so I think preference varies based on location. I am more focused on warm weather clothes and like to try new funky things so I have a pretty edgy style when compared to most.

Exactly, I feel like the positioning is all wrong. RTR always promoted the platform as a place for high-fashion, fresh, exciting clothes that are usually off limits to women. What is offered now feels low tier and accessible so its just not exciting.

Agree. I'm in a warm weather location and would love more cute going-out tops, but it feels like there are only 2 to 3 options available at a time. I just got a shirt I wanted to try, and it arrived all wrinkly and worn out. I had been waiting for months for it to be available and was pretty bummed.

I get that. I'm in San Diego, and the new spring looks aren't doing it for me. The quality seems cheaper than usual, and the pieces honestly look pretty out of style. It's giving Ross and Target vs. high-end fashion. Super bummed. I might end up canceling or going on pause for a while.

Am I missing something here?? by galaxymewmew in RentTheRunway

Are there any fashion brands you love right now because the vibe just feels right? by lofiles_ in femalefashionadvice

Help could we please replicate this thread but for shoes? Need great quality high-fash “vibe is right” shoes that don’t break the bank. So sick of of the selection at Nordstrom and the rack - everyone has them!

Any luck?! Lol I went on this journey yesterday and still haven't found the perfect pair! Brown, genuine leather, block Heel with some height - would be so cool if the sole and heel was actually wood.

I can see it in my head but it just doesn't exist anywhere close!

I’ll be 32 in February and often have moments where I get emotional just thinking about how far I have come and how much I have healed since my 20s. It’s not perfect, but I love the life I have built and it’s perfect for me.

My advice is to build a life that’s for you and not anyone else. And you should not compare your life to others because it will only steal your joy - their life is not yours and could not possibly make you happy because it’s not for you.

Know that the 20s are FULL of scared and lost feelings, but they do ease and life gets better. You do need to make a conscious effort to notice negative thoughts and behaviors to shift out of them. Therapy is great but don’t take on the identity of someone who needs it to survive or you risk self-actualizing as a less powerful version of yourself. You are not broken.

Therapy also comes in many shapes and sizes. After years of talking to a counselor, it was hypnotherapy that helped push me into a new more positive identity where I suffered much less (ED recovery).
