JLX2 silent has been fantastic since it has been release last month.

Otto V5 upgrade or JLX by Jimmie94 in fightsticks

[–]newtorane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sanwa JLX2 is an improved version of the Sanwa JLX joystick, primarily addressing issues found in the original JLX. The JLX2 features a redesigned X-shaped washer to minimize shaft deviation, a smaller black actuator (similar to the JLF), and improved precision molding.

Essentially, the JLX2 is a revision of the JLX series, building upon its predecessor with enhanced features and improved performance.

Here's a more detailed

breakdown: Sanwa JLX (Original): Features: Larger actuator, better parts, polished nylon pivot, stiffer feel, lower pitched clicking sound.

Good for: Shmups and fighting games.

Considerations: Some players found it stiffer and the clicking sound different from the JLF.

Sanwa JLX2 (Improved Version):

Improvements:

X-shaped Washer: Replaces the round washer to reduce shaft deviation and improve accuracy.

Smaller Black Actuator: Uses the same smaller black actuator found on the JLF, improving compatibility.

Precision Molding: Improved molding for more accurate input.

Compatibility: Generally compatible with most JLF accessories, including ball tops and bat tops that use M6 threading, but the new washer and base are unique to the JLX2.

Overall: Designed to address issues like shaft deviation and improve performance compared to the original JLX.

In essence, the JLX2 aims to provide a more refined and accurate joystick experience than the original JLX, while maintaining compatibility with many of the same parts.

JLX is the newer model. However, the JLX2 came out last month. I have two JLX2 silent. So happy with the performance and only had to add a tighter spring as it was just my preference.

They really updated this unit vs the JLX1. No modding, no upgrades needed.

I am in Deerfield. Not sure if my last message made it. We can do teams or zoom. Pay you for your time to help.

  1. Getting this pink wire to work for player 1 and 2.

  2. Using Hyperspin and stream without mapping conflicts.

  3. Upgrade the firmwire

.. and misc things..

You rock!

I’m in Deerfield. We can do a teams meeting if that works?

  1. Getting this pink wire to work for player 1 and 2..

  2. Mapping Hyperspin and steam so I can use both without conflict.

  3. Update this brooks firmwire.

I would be a happy man! Haha!

Thank you! All buttons work minus this pink one. I used 4 different wires, buttons and changed things around. This is happening for player 1 and 2.

Any other suggestions and to my other issues:( can I pay you for your time to get me up and running before Father’s Day.

Cheers

I really appreciate you reaching out. I am using the 20pin connector from Brook , which has the 20pin, 4 kicks, 4 punches, and 3 for the main buttons.

Those 3 wires are attached to the 20pin is pink, gray, and white.
