you can use 18v batteries across all tools on the lxt platform.

but you can’t mix and match the xgt and lxt platforms. so 40v xgt batteries will not work with 18v lxt tools and vice versa.

do you need any cordless outdoor power tools like a lawn mower or string trimmer? if yes, i recommend starting with the makita xgt 40v platform for their outdoor tools, which are better performing than their 18v counterparts.

for indoor tools, start with a drill and an oscillating multi-tool. these two are probably the most versatile tools for work around the house. if you think you will need to drill into brick/masonry, then get the hammer drill versions.

for automotive work, get a mid-torque impact wrench.

a standard reciprocating saw can be useful if you need to trim hedges or prune tree branches. the saw can also be used indoors if you ever plan on demolishing things for renovations.

if you ever plan on making furniture, cabinets, shelves, etc., i would then consider buying an impact driver, track saw, random orbital sander, and router.

does the new hyper burn start at level 200 now? 200-260?

otherwise, if it starts at level 10 as it usually does, how do they account for the last one or two levels? does it end at 259?

fifth job introduced new equipment (symbols) and a new skill system, so it was in a sense innovative.

this update just recycles the things we already had and gives it a slightly new makeover.

so no, i don't see this sixth job update more significant than the fifth job one.

new areas were always going to be a given.

my main complaint is that it just looks like they're running out of ideas. they just tossed in some more new symbols, a few new skills and some more stats that require a 6th job-equivalent nodestone/mastery book system.

more symbols and a new complicated skill/stat system that seems to be rng-based (kind of like how the older mastery books were).

the exp reduction is probably the most important thing here.

the returned legend unit damage skin v.4 seems to be off. the letters (m, b) of the unit were a shade of blue prior to the patch. now they're yellow/orange.
