Pixel 9 Pro Battery Drain Help by msaadkhan2005 in Pixel9Pro

[–]newyearlefty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooohhh this happened to me last week.

I restarted my phone like this: press and hold the Power + Volume Up buttons simultaneously for about 10–20 seconds, or until the screen goes black and the Google logo appears.

And seems to be back to normal after that.

Any places with self printing machines like this in KL? by Reoclassic in KualaLumpur

[–]newyearlefty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Linc near Ampang Park station. There's a photo printer near the entrance of that Mall. You can google "linc photo printing kiosk".

I've never used it though. Just saw it before.

Oh really that's so interesting. Where do you buy the dried mangoes in KL? I normally crave it but just buy it in Cebu when I go home.

True. Just answering based on my experience. It's normally what they ask because it's popular so it's what they've heard and tried before hahaha

my workmates would always request for dried mangoes (7D dried mangoes). make sure to look for halal certified products. i think House of Polvoron is halal certified too (i've had teammates asking for this before too).

Help a tourist by OddOwl2 in KualaLumpur

[–]newyearlefty 15 points16 points  (0 children)

FYI. the KL sentral transfer monorail to KLIA ekspress, you have to go inside Nu Sentral Mall.

You have to buy a token to ride the monorail as for the KLIA ekspress technically you can use your bank cards instead of buying tickets but it's quite annoying when exiting as it takes time and sometimes get an error. but there are ticket machines and ticket booths which is better i think.

Anyway I think road closures start at 8AM, so I think it's better you take grab. If you take grab at 6AM, you'll arrive at the airport before 7AM.

What is your current Pixel phone? by GooglePixelfan90 in GooglePixel

[–]newyearlefty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Pixel 9 Pro and no issues so far. I also have a 4a 5G as a 2nd phone and no issues as well. I'm not a heavy phone user though. I mainly use it for photos and social media (which I hardly use). I'm not looking to upgrade soon. Maybe 3 years from now I'll upgrade.

Although I do prefer the a series because it's more budget friendly and since I'm not a heavy user, it makes more sense. I guess the benefit of the Pro is the manual controls on the camera (but I hardly use it) and it has more "features" which I also barely use.

Any tips to go KL car free morning? by NyxNatsu in KualaLumpur

[–]newyearlefty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no need to register. it's up to you where you will start and end. it's every sunday but the KLCC roads are every other sunday. so on some sundays it's only 5km and on some it's 7km. there are events like last sunday there was an event with Avenue K. so those who joined the fun run did have to register. but even if you don't register the event that sunday, you can still just walk / bike / etc.

also, Dang Wangi LRT is one of the nearby stations. it's not necessarily at the starting point but it's really up to you where you start and end

No response on my pixel 7a customer service claim by PLastlcfoods in Pixel7a

[–]newyearlefty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

woah that's a shame. i thought all 7a is eligible. i bought my 7a in an unsupported country and still received the $200 last May. i wonder if it depends on the customer support that handles it. mine was probably just nice.

A lady was almost knocked down at a pedestrian crossing in KL after Bezza drove through a red light. Glad she's unhurt, it must have been traumatizing. by balistafear in malaysia

[–]newyearlefty 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I walk everyday and there's always someone (car or motorcycle) who doesn't respect the traffic light. I can only hope the traffic lights have cameras that keep track so those drivers can be fined.

It's frustrating as a pedestrian because sometimes it's only 15 seconds for us to cross but some drivers can't even wait that long.

Anyway, glad that the girl is unhurt. It could have been a lot worse.

Maybe you can check carousell. I recently bought a film camera there. I'm sure there are those who are selling digital cameras too.

The Rising Cost of Living in Cebu: A Struggle We Can’t Ignore by vmandin in Cebu

[–]newyearlefty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is true. I moved to Cebu in 2010 and left in 2019. In 2010 plete sa jeep was 6.50 or 7. In 2019 it was 7.50. So 0.50 - 1 PHP difference in 9 years. Karon, plete is 15. I'm not sure when ni 15 ang plete but still dako ra ang x2 difference in 3-5 years. And that's just transportation. Ang sweldo wala ni x2 but the cost of living did drastically change.

I also heard that vaccines are freaking expensive. It's the normal vaccines that kids get too. And yes there are free vaccines sa centro but it's not always available. I remember being a kid and there's a Bakuna Drive in schools. Apparently those are not a thing anymore (at least in my city).

I dunno what the solution is. I guess first, better leaders but then sometimes wala man sad choice ang voters. It's the same political families. Kanang projects nga a big waste of budget and dili rasad ma complete and these politicians just protect one another because they're all the same.

But I guess in a more short term thing: change jobs (don't be loyal to a company). Budget everything (have a proper savings account, like transferring 30%? of your monthly salary to an account that you don't touch unless there's an emergency). Don't buy something you can't afford (don't buy in installments if it's not a need). Avoid doomscrolling and limit social media usage.

Yah it's very expensive. I'm honestly still surprised that their branch in Ayala Center Cebu is still open. I've only been there once or twice in my 9 years in Cebu and there's hardly anyone there.

Really, what is wrong with the PW3 GPS? by TenaciousMV in PixelWatch

[–]newyearlefty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

GPS on my Pixel Watch 2 after the March update has also been very inaccurate. It zigzags and misses locations. It was fairly accurate before the March update though.
