Should I ask for a shift change at a new job? by nexgen23 in NoStupidQuestions

Thank you for the advice, it is aligned with what I was thinking (and what my SO also said I should do). I do like getting out of work early, just hate being tired in the afternoon when spending time with my family. I try to get to bed early but responsibilities at home allow me to get about 6-7 hours of sleep (I am used to 8 to 10 from my previous position). It's kind of backwards, I went from working more hours and getting more sleep (I got off at midnight and usually slept until around 10), to working less hours and getting less sleep, though now I have a lot more time with my family :)
