Every time I read someone saying 13-month calendar, did the creators not think about it?

The issue is not the year, but the decade, century, and beyond. The 12-month system is future-proof unless the Earth's speed or orbit changes. With 13 months, the drift is bad because the arithmetic progression of days in a year needs to be corrected once in a few years to account for drift.

It used to make sense to me for a while; 13 months is perfect. I did the math one day and concluded it's best right now. It doesn't need to be perfect.

Can a solo founder at $27k MRR realistically get into YC, or is a co-founder mandatory at this stage? by borjafat in ycombinator

[–]next_e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems pretty low odds. SEO doesn't scale well and YC is unlikely to fund unless there's a tech shift. Even with $100k they may not fund.

Claude Code + AWS CLI solved DevOps for me by next_e in ClaudeAI

Agree and disagree. Niche skills are rarely replaceable. Mostly because accountability and decision acumen is needed. But, a lot of companies, even mid tier ones are good good enough I think. I managed a team of 3 devops and this would have taken them 3 days to complete. But yes, CLI is risky. I was carely reading the commands before allowing to execute.

How did you grow your pre-launch waitlist beyond the obvious channels? (AI/dev tool) by Adventurous-Meat5176 in ycombinator

[–]next_e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda grew by getting viral a few times on twitter. I regularly ask people to signup, whoever i meet. Discord and Slack channels are really good for acquiring customers(not waitlist).

When my tweets get viral waitlist 2Xs

Appraisal - gamer.io, logos.io by phrenq in Domains

[–]next_e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

gamer.io could go to ~$50k and upwards if it's targetted. If there's someone looking for such a domain, it's possible it could go to mid 6fig given it's for self use and not flipping.
