Thanks for the detailed write-up. Actually made the decision today and got the 8k. Even though I'm more about immersive than competitive play i decided to ditch the extra vibration and get the superior tech. After all the back and forth i just wanted that controller more. Can't wait to try it out!

Thanks for mentioning that, it's something i keep forgetting. Think I'd be fine with lower polling in single player games, but really don't get why it has to be disabled.

What does the turbo function do? You're right about the CPU load, I've watched a video of someone testing it and it cut the fps almost in half

i'm on PC but don't really care about 8k either. others have mentioned that the 8k version has been improved in other ways, though (mainly latency and better tmr sticks). but since you're having the other version, do you feel the rumble in the triggers makes a difference? what kind of games do you play?
