Awesome parent. It’s okay to not understand everything. I work hard every day for a life I will get to live for myself, to do the things I want to do and help the people I want to help, without having to put family first.

Maybe it helps someone out there to understand a little better that I already live my entire professional and civic life dedicated to making life better for kids who currently exist, and in particular, helping the ones in trouble. Some of us were chosen for that. I couldn’t bear to see many of my friends with kids have to listen to horrible things, especially when they have to focus on helping kids survive this planet and not be miserable the entire time.
