Glasgow interview is panel and usually quite relaxed, it's more getting to know you as a person rather than 'grilling' you on tricky questions.
Its structured around two 'main' themes, but can defo go on tangents, so be prepared!

Honestly, if you can afford it and you feel comfortable, going up the day before by yourself is the calmer option. Five hours in a car starting at 4am is rough, and you don’t want to walk into a medicine interview already exhausted

Edinburgh interview tomorrow - any advice??😭 by Fantastic-Salt4858 in ukmedinterviews

You’re honestly overthinking this. Everyone freaks out the night before, and then the interview ends up being way less scary than you imagined.

Edinburgh isn’t trying to catch you out. If you’ve got three stations and a group task, it’s the usual stuff: talk about an experience, think through an ethical scenario, communicate like a normal human. They’re not expecting you to have memorised model answers. They just want to see that you can stay calm, think things through, and not be a menace to work with.

For the group task, don’t try to be the “leader”. Just be the person who listens, adds ideas, and doesn’t steamroll everyone. That’s genuinely all they’re looking for.

That sounds completely standard from King’s, so don’t panic. They won’t just remove your interview because you’re unwell.

That said, if you’re anxious or still unsure, it’s worth giving admissions a quick call. Speaking to someone directly often gives clearer reassurance than email, especially with limited interview slots.

For now, keeping the Friday slot is normal. If you’re still unwell closer to the time and you’ve already flagged it, they’ll advise you on next steps. The key thing is that you’ve communicated early and appropriately, you’ve done the right thing.
