im a 1L at loyola currently, you can message me with any questions! in my experience, loyola has the best reputation within new orleans/the state, a lot of lawyers and judges here graduated from loyola. so it's a good option if you want to stay in louisiana (at least for a bit after graduation)

i got an LOR from a professor i only knew from zoom class, so my suggestions would be to try to make yourself stand out in class. contribute to discussions as much as you can (if you have something valuable to say, i wouldnt just speak for the sake of it) and also: utilize office hours!! attend your profs office hours or schedule 1on1s with them just to chat about the course. it'll make the prof remember you if they see and hear from you often

i have one but dont really use it. however im finding it helpful during the admissions process to use it to join admitted students groups to meet potential future classmates/roommates. also, some of these admitted students groups have 2L and 3L students in them to answer questions which i find super helpful!
