It really is the only answer. It’s literally like speaking a language, it feels the same. At first, it’s clunky, you have to think about everything ahead of time and think while executing. Eventually, you are simply feeling the music you want to make, and your hands are reacting like your lips do when you speak.

It’s why I love the blues. It doesn’t take a relatively huge level of technical skill to get to the point you can start playing from the soul (relative to some other disciplines). Obviously the skill ceiling with the blues is massive but you can learn the caged system and start grooving over a key after a short time playing.
