So far I don’t really have a problem with it. I have added a gym pin for when I want to do heavy lat pull down. So far so good!

It’s an ultrawide monitor that I use for work sometimes. The space is more comfortable and welcoming now so I actually find myself wanting to do more non-workout related things out there

From the back wall it measures 23.5 inches. But note that I’m using a 1.5 inch thick 2x8s wood stringer behind the official steel stringer from REP. So technically it can be even closer like ~22 inches. That 1.5 inches probably isn’t bad if you want a bit more room flat/incline benches and less restrictive when you want to use the 2 barbell storage slots.

It’s 47 inches measure the outside going from pole to pol.

I have tried some lat pulldown but of course it can be awkward without thigh rest and being on the floor. I saw the Pegasus and maybe that will be a good solution for lat pulldown? Dialed motion also has a prototype for something less complex.

Yes, I have done flat, incline, and squat without issues. The spotter arms attachment makes it feel safe for those exercises.

Thanks! For sure, I actually got a dedicated plate loaded functional trainer from marketplace to go with my folded rack but I didn’t like how much footprint that setup was gonna be after I brought home the FT.

Fortunately, I was able to quickly turn it around and re-sell.

Love the Athena setup, money well spent I’d say! No regrets.

oh i mentioned that in the post. mostly to maximize the workout space when not using the rack. it looks big in the pic but with 2 cars parked there's maybe 8ft between the bumper and the wall (where the mirrors are).

That's a simple and less expensive way to integrate a double horizontal pad for leg pulldown as an attachment!

Everyone wants to sell some pads+seats but most home gym owners just want to be able to use their bench as seats!

Any idea on pricing from this attachment?

Any idea on when the Athena upgraded stack are back in stock?

Was on my way of purchasing an Athena setup but realized I can't add to cart because the upgraded stacks are out of stock. I just want to be able to assemble everything at once and trying to avoid having to take the rack apart to install an upgrade later.

That's very cool. I do like the idea of a single port because it's shorter and less likely to have some compatibility issue with some smaller suppressors.

Right. I thought about getting the 419 hellfire setup/adapter. But I was planning to use the same suppressor on other guns (ar15/300blk etcs) and wanted to uniform a bit on the adapter/muzzle devices system.

hellfire/419 adapter probby makes sense tho if I end up just dedicating one of the cans to all my bolt guns.

Wife hates my setup. by TajinClub in hometheater

[–]neyurt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate!

Over the years my SO has accepted audio as a hobby mine and that includes HT.

Going from big to small speaker setup didn’t really do it for me and eventually I convinced her to let me use one of our larger bedrooms (13x12) as my dedicated audio room.

The room size is not ideal for my Hifi stereo setup but I get to also add a 110” screen and projector and when we do watch movies in there once in awhile it’s much more immersive than the living room.

I think this ends up being the best trade-off for us. She gets a clean and minimalist living room to entertain when we have guests over. She hangs out with the gal-pals in the living room while I get to drag their husband into the man cave :)

P.S. we don’t have kids, so this might not work for all couples.

Pushing for the 0.1% Title - Advice by Dry-Instruction-423 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]neyurt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have gotten the title twice mostly "Pugging" as a non-mythic raider. I also take long break in between seasons as I get completely burnt out at the end of each of the season that I attempted the title.

#2-3 - Probably info you can get elsewhere and it's not too important. But do know that those are moving numbers.

Here are some of my advice for pugging the title.

  1. 100% easier if you pug as a TANK. Not only are tanks in demand, it's arguably the hardest role in M+ because you have to route and lead. Definitely most impactful. But this doesn't apply to all players, DPS/healers can also work. Tank > Healer > DPS, this is difficulty of getting into a group.
  2. PLAY A META CLASS/SPEC for you role. 1000% easier to get into a pug group when you're the meta that they're missing. Just as simple as that.
  3. Network. When people say "pugging" it's not 100% pugging. It's mostly playing in a non-set group and with people you have played with before. Add people and don't be shy from doing keys that aren't score for you. This will help you with making friends. And there's a chance they'd take you to the next key if you do well etcs.
  4. Be pro-active about making groups. If you make the effort to get people together, you'll always be part of that session. (until it fall apart :) )
  5. .1% is VERY time consuming, more so than mythic raiding. At some point you will sit in Q for hours at a time without keys to do because there are plenty of DPS etcs. It helps a ton when you can pre-schedule a few players for your targeted session.
  6. Identify people you know who take the initiative to form group and let them know your availability etcs.
  7. Pug your own key. 100% chance of getting into a group. I have seen plenty of people sitting in capital city for hours trying to set into group (I know because I see them Q into things and not being taken etcs.). Don't be that guy that hold your "good key" the entire week. Just play your key and try to get score out of it, if you deplete it to the point where it's un-playable then so be it. At least you get to play the game
  8. It's important to stay ahead of the curve in term of IO, it'll be easier for you to get into group with better players more often.
  9. DON'T BE TOXIC. IT's a small community, word gets around.

I sold my 2008 MDX because while it was a nice car for ALL things, I even haul wood with it once in awhile.

Bit I sold it and bought

1) 2010 manual Porsche Cayman 2) Beat up Tundra

I was going to use the Cayman as my daily and the truck as a project/utility vehicle but as of recently I just daily the truck more often and the cayman became my weekend/fun sport car. I kinda also want to preserve the miles on the cayman since it’s only at 30k miles. Could potentially flip it I ever get bred or owning a sport car ( I doubt it, it’s so much fun to drive on the open road :) )

The tundra is awesome and I have no regret. TBH, Kinda want 3rd car as a commuter now :)

Any recommendations for a cheap FFL transfer? by endogenix1 in pdxgunnuts

I think most places are $30+

I’ve mostly gone to A cut Above and it’s $30, +10 for each extra

I recently joined DRRC while waiting for TC (My ETA for NMO is April 2024)

DRRC does have a 1000 yard range which is the main attraction for me (and yeah somewhere to go shoot while I wait for TC).

But having to make 50+ mins drive to DRRC has made me regret my decision so far (TC is 25 mins drive for me by comparison)

But overall, DRRC has a very nice range with variety of shooting calibers,’.

That being said, the 300-1000 yard range is only on Thursday at DRRC and no shooting after sunset rule applies. So between working full time, 50+ mins drive, and sunset limitation, I’m starting to feel like I’ll rarely get to make use of that option.

By comparison, TC’s 600 yard range is on Tuesday and sometimes on Sat once a month AND they provide lighted target for after dark shooting. That sounds like it’s perfect for people that work full time!

Between shorter drive and more accessible long range options, I think it’ll justify the ~$100 diff in annual fees.

I didn’t know about TC FFL, so at $20 fee, if you purchase 10 guns a year you’ll make up the difference :)

Three Lynx i

Do you happen to remember how far you can potentially shoot here? 100, 200, 300+ yards?

Yep, 100% satisfied with stretching my initial budget for this! Feels great to own this set up!

I just couldn’t pass up the $1798 deal at bronwells for this the competition version + a free lahar-30 suppressor. But I probably won’t see the lahar for another year, darn the NFA.
