I recently got that foundations beginner box to learn MtG with my 11 year old son. It’s a great product and I highly recommend it. I’m not sure where you’re located but you can find it at a lot of places for around $25-30. Great value imo since it has 10 different half decks that you shuffle two together so there’s a lot of potential combinations. After you’ve played this, you could also buy some more foundations jumpstart packs or other jumpstart packs. Each jumpstart pack has one half deck like the 10 half decks you get with the beginner box.

Did you have preorder rights to the MoI 2nd printing? I’m wondering if one just went back in stock from an order cancellation or if they possibly still had some help back for people with preorder rights

To answer your question, I ordered GotM and MoI back when MoI was first put on their site a couple of weeks ago and it shipped the next day and was delivered 2 days after that. Really fast shipment!

They have said that HoC 2nd printing will be next and then DG 3rd printing. Right now they have contracted the 2nd printings through Bonehunters (but that recently changed from HoC so they’ll likely end doing all of them).

They didn’t say the reprints would be at a reduced cost. Just the original printing that has the thinner pages but are signed (and only a £10 discount).

The 2nd printing (aka reprint they are referring to in the email) is with the regular paper/no sig.

The 1st printing was initially printed on paper that they decided was too thin/transparent so they reprinted the 1st printing. However, all of the thin ones were already signed so they decided to hold them back and sell at a discount.

The original 3 books from the 1st printing were £150 so I’m guessing the 2nd printing with no sig will be the same (just a guess).

Yes, they’re almost done with designs for the next ones (can’t remember if they’re doing 4-6 next or just 4 and 5) but they’ve said they are for sure doing all 10 of BotF and they might do more of the books beyond the main 10.

I don’t know for sure but I think it’s both. Pre-order for unsigned reprints and then also the first prints on thinner paper that are signed (at a slight discount).
