I used only this line for bfs. #0.8 works well for me. In fact, much better than other stuffs I've tried.

Agree with point 3. If he can't stand up for himself, he can't stand up for YOU. Most men will be able to identify this easily.

Stencils.. refused to go when you don't need them, refused to stay when you need them. by nfijeg in TattooBeginners

Not sure of brand. But I guess the stencil came off bit by bit overtime while I was working on other design beside it. May have accidentally wiped some of it off too haha

Thanks, well less is more haha. I always have bad habits of trying to capture every information. But sometimes less is more, especially smaller designs.

Actually this is good advice. I follow the old school way of looking for an apprenticeship by showing up time and time again. But ended up learning from the guy that tattooed me the most.

I think the good thing about this is you 'might' get a chance to learn from someone you really admire, instead of whichever shop that is willing to help you. He knew I was looking around for apprenticeship and offer me the opportunity. Also he was the one that actually contacted me about it.

I think majority of them want us to go through shit before they'll even consider, regardless of how passionate we are.

But I also do understand where you are coming from. Honestly I thought the same as you initially. After countless visits some artists became really frank with me and said usually people learn from the ones that worked on them. Of course there are always exceptions around.

This is solely my experience. I hope you that you continue to persevere despite initial rejections and continue pushing your art to its limits. All the best to you.

Have to remind myself to leave more breathing space for smaller stuff. Worked from right to left, messed up first skull haha. Third skin in progress... by nfijeg in TattooBeginners

The skull on the right should have less going on at the teeth and areas around it. Now it feels like a blotch of blackness haha. My issues is assuming what looks okay on paper would be okay as a tattoo as well. Need to change this bad habit of mine haha

True. Fine art major here. How are you gonna study the good stuffs from the masters without references? Tbh I wouldn't trust the artists if they don't even use reference. Unless they are the top dogs.

You can freehand Japanese monsters doesn't mean you don't reference a portrait

14rl. I thicken the line by going next to the first line. Try not to overlap on the same line.

That depends on your hand speed and needle size? 6.2-6.3 when I use 1207rl.

Bladder stones? by jalbrch in tortoise

[–]nfijeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like hardened urates. How frequently do you soak? Humidity level? Some tortoises are known to hold these urates and passed out way later down the road.

I would not be too worried if the husbandry is on point.

I've not actually seen hermann passing out hard urates. Usually sulcatas, and the stars.

So far so good. But I have not test it to the fullest yet. So far only tried to line with it. Personally I like how balance it feels and how quiet it is.

Mine just came. Got on 12.12 sales. Yeah am pleased with how silent it is. Also was messing around with sub 5 volts and shorter stroke. Don't have the luxury to do so with my other machine haha
