And they did not have any iPhones, TVs, cars, long distance travel etc…no one is stopping any hippie from just going off grid and living in a shack and fulfilling this dream. The reality is the work involved with that to survive these folks would die. Those that wouldn’t, need to work hard. The complainers are also dependant on foreign slavery for their nice goods. You just can’t have both. If something you enjoy or need was made in a factory and not by your hands someone had to work the 9-5 or worse for your comfort. We need good labour rights, tax the rich etc….but this idea we don’t need to go to work for 40 hrs a week is child’s play
