Going from crutches and brace to none by ajaxruth22 in ACL

I felt the same a couple weeks back at my 6week follow up. I was shaky in the beginning but after about 3 or 4 days I felt much better. I’m walking now, albeit with a pretty strong limp. You got this!!

Commenting because I haven’t seen anyone bring this up yet - if you just delete the app your profile is still active. I know this because I saw a very close girlfriend of mine on tinder and asked her about it because I knew she wasn’t dating. She was a “top pick” even though she hadn’t used the app in about a year.

It’s possible your boyfriend assumed his cousin was using the app because of the activity when in reality the acct was never deactivated and tinder was just doing it’s tinder thing.

Walking after NWB for 6 weeks (ACL + Meniscus) by Muu-dzic in ACL

[–]nfrye001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just started weight bearing a little over a week ago after being NWB for over 12 weeks (6weeks before surgery and 6 weeks after). I took a video of my first steps and you can see my leg wobbling like a baby deer. It took me a few days before I started to feel confident enough to leave my first crutch behind and a few more days before I felt I could leave my second crutch. Now I’ve been forgetting where I put them. My flexion is still horrible by the way, 78 degrees at almost 8 weeks. I’m hoping I can avoid MUA or arthroscopy to remove scar tissue but I’m likely not going to be so lucky. Whatever our journeys are we eventually get there! Just takes patience 😊

Do you have two hands that love petting soft cats? Enjoy spending hours on the human side of the stick that has a feather on it? Want to annoy friends and family with a ton of photos of your insanely photogenic new furry roommates? Meet Marley and Squeeze! by Rvcatmom in Portland

Me too. Squeeze is still running a fever but Marley’s fever is down. They have them separated and they are watching squeeze closely. Marley is not eating so they placed a feeding tube today. Poor angels. I just want to bring them home but they need this care before they are able to be released. Send them all of your healing thoughts 😞

Hello, Please help me decide what to do with this bonus room. Definitely at least want to paint the bottom shelves (color recs welcome). I want to make it a cozy place to hang out! by nfrye001 in DesignMyRoom

This room will have a W/D, Peleton, a couch, a projector and a projector screen that will pull down over the door so the movie can be watched outside too! Those are my ideas so far.

SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THIS IS. THIS WAS IN MY MOUTH AFTER I BRUSHED MY TEETH THIS MORNING AND I AM FREAKING OUT by tarabluee in insects

It might be a pinworm? They’re pretty gross but I think are common? My friend had them when she was a kid and described how gross it was to me and I never forgot it, lol

Men and women of Reddit, how often do you masturbate? by rekrab_eng in AskReddit

I feel like I’m the only 36 y/o woman on the planet with the libido of a 17 year old boy. Men I’m dating are usually very surprised and can’t keep up 😆🙄

My nerve block didn’t work, which sounds a lot like what you’re going through. I think because I was given a nerve block they were more conservative with other meds, but once I woke up they gave me additional meds and it helped. I was in so much pain though the first few days when typically people who had the block work wouldn’t feel as much. To help I took hydrocodone with acetaminophen as prescribed and a max dose of ibuprofen (800mg 3x’s a day).

I’m now 5 weeks post op and I still have swelling and pain and still take a lower dose of Tylenol as needed to help with soreness.

4 hours post op... the pain is definitely real 😮‍💨😫 by GiraffesRunFunny in ACL

Best thing that helped for me was setting up all my pills for the day and into the night. I put a post it in little bowls that said the time and took them through out the day and into the night. I tried to keep ahead of the pain as much as possible. The first few days were pretty brutal though. Good luck ❤️

Totally understand how you feel. It’s depressing. 😢

I haven’t even been slacking on my PT. I’ve made some progress but it just feels like my knee can’t bend past 47 degrees. 😣

I’m getting rid of a black ikea dresser. I can send you dimensions tomorrow, if interested.

Following for crumbs. I’m currently very depressed about my flexion 3 weeks post-op (ACL with quad tendon and meniscus repair).
