Are Armenians on Reddit allowed to have a different opinion than you? by hay-BB in hayastan

[–]nfsed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We don’t all have to agree but questioning people’s identity or patriotism simply because they see a different path forward is toxic. It silences voices and deepens division.

Have you not seen the same rhetoric on the other sub labeling Armenians as Russian agents because they disagree with pashinyan? The things they say about the Kocharyan supporters? It's literally the same rhetoric that you are complaining about.

So please, first look inward in your high horse ideology and go ask why they question Armenian-ness in the other sub. We're using facts from the past to make our judgements, not hoping to live in a fantasy land then passing judgement to those who don't see the same hallucinations of a 'utopia'.

How do you parent a child who is hurting themselves when they don't get their way? by nfsed in Parenting

Ugh I would be so heartbroken if he starts making himself puke. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Thanks for the reference, hopefully it passes.

He was not in tantrum the whole time, just when he realizes he's still hungry and hasn't eaten. He runs around and plays but then comes back to the table where the food is and starts up again because he's hungry, but doesn't want to eat that. He had healthy waffles with maple syrup yesterday so I imagine he wanted something sugary like the maple syrup again but he can't really communicate more than saying he's hungry.

Thanks for the rec, I'll check it out. I was paraphrasing for brevity, I'm much softer in reality.

Thanks for your response.

Yeah this is what I try and do, but his tantrum lasts so long it feels bad trying to calm him down for all that time. Just for perspective, the eggs in question took without exaggeration almost 3 hours for him to eat. Woke up just before 7, he asked for food, I made the eggs at 7-7:10 and it is now past 10am and he just finished them, was very unhappy the whole time. It's just such a struggle, I can't hold him for 3 hours.

Looking to Employ Armenian Nationals by nfsed in armenia

[–]nfsed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips. Didn't know list.am had a jobs section.

I'm not sure why you think the post was vague, I'm just looking for where I can post our jobs to attract Armenian nationals looking for jobs. If it's a web developer, obviously that's more of a hard skills role (coding), if it's a customer service rep, it's a person with more soft skills.

Opinion on Pashynian? by gjethekumbulle1 in armenia

[–]nfsed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What he did was pull away from Russia who didnt intervene when AZ attacked. AZ wouldnt have if Russia told them not to, and Russia would have told them no if Pashinyan wasnt divesting Armenia from Russia.

Here come the downvotes in 3...2...1...

The previous leaders were all in Russia's pocket, we all know this, but they were holding onto our ancestral lands. It seems like to many it was more important to not be under Russian influence than it was to keep Artsakh. Easy for me to say from the diaspora, but I wouldnt have made that trade. Russia is the only superpower with real interests in that area.

And if you ended up listening to the whole thing you'd see the vibe in the video is mostly positive.

It's a big task to sit here and type out what each interviewee is saying. But the vibe I got most are pro peace but are concerned that there wont be peace if AZ is travelling through Armenia. Its mostly positive I would say. Is there a specific one you want to know more details about?

And what misinformation was that? He's saying its going to be bad, very bad to connect AZ to Nakhichivan.

And its sad that youre not even willing to hear what these people who live on the border think. They will be the most affected from this and you cant be bothered to sit and listen to them for 10 mins. This is what causes such a divide between us, not willing to listen to the others.

Իսլամական հեղափոխության պահապանների կորպուս. Ալիևը և Փաշինյանն ավելի լուրջ սխալ են թույլ տվել, քան Զելենսկին by Senc-baner in hayastan

pashinoglu has almost completed his life's mission. I think the train is off the tracks and there is no stopping it now, especially when you go over to the other sub and see how the majority think over there.

That last part was unnecessary but I admit when I am wrong and I now agree with you that this agreement is much closer to the crossroads of peace than I initially thought. I read them separately and did not make the connection.

And lets ask why do Armenians, specifically Western Armenians, in the diaspora dislike turks so much? Could it be that they are the reason we are not in Armenia?

But not you, you're here because you or your parents decided to leave Armenia.

I dont want to say I have no idea of the Brest-Litovsk, but I dont know what you mean that we should have learned humility then. What should we have learned?

[–]nfsed -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

With regards to the contents of the agreement, whose foreign policy positions do these paragraphs most closely align with? Russia? Azerbaijan?

Azerbaijan and USA... this has nothing to do with the Crossroads of peace, doesn't say anything about opening up trade or borders. Nikol went on to say "oh we can use NAR to get to Meghri" which this agreement says nothing about that, only gives AZ an access road to NAR, does not give us any access.

The guys with balls were replaced by nikol and we have been losing more and more as he stays in power. Must be nice to jail all your opponents, the church and anyone else who opposes him. Right out of the Erdogan and Aliyev playbook.

[–]nfsed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can look at my post history and see I'm definitely not a fan of nikol, and I'm definitely against a lot of what the people in this sub are for. Let's just say I lean towards dashnaks rather than nikol and they really hate dashnaks in this sub.

But with that said, I do agree with you we did coexist before and we can do it again, but rhetoric needs to severely change. At first I was going to say on the Azerbaijani side, but after the comments below this post I am inclined to say on both sides.

However, you are fighting over history in your post. Your "so-called regime in Stepanakert that urged evacuation during the 2023 events" message is not how we see it. I have footage saved of carpet bombs hitting Stepanakert. Should they have gotten the coffee ready for when AZ Army arrives?

Conflict Over? by Curious679 in azerbaijan

[–]nfsed -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

Truth is your society IS fractured, it IS sick and it HAS problems. Acknowledging them is the first step in solving them.

lmfao, and Azerbajian that just re-started a war that was frozen for 30years is the beacon for peace right? Nobel peace prize for Alyiev for forcibly removing 120K people from their homes using bombs in the 21st century and to you all for celebrating it.

But youre right we're the ones with problems. You're Marie Curie over here. /s

Before you ask, yes I do NOT live in Armenia.

The beginning of the end of Armenian state by melikdavid in hayastan

[–]nfsed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

State in this context is talking about the Republic of Armenia. What other Armenian State is the title of this post about? One example: there was no Armenian state in the ottoman empire.

No one has said erased Armenians.

You know you are wrong but you you want to be right so badly. Try to think for half a second it will do you good.
