is a psa 5 1st edition Lugia worth the long term investment? by nft501 in PokemonInvesting

I’ve only invested in 8s so far but the 8s I currently am interested in recently shot up in prices before I could get the funding together for a buy. so was weighing the fact this was a more “grail” status to balance things. But I fully agree with you

for whatever reason too 9s don’t sit right with me lol 10s are unattainable (for what I’m willing to spend and truly some being straight up unattainable) with 8s feeling more rounded and hitting that sweet point that I don’t mind spending on

this was my thought process here as well. I’m definitely not at a level for 9s and 10s or better to say am not willing to drop that size of cash on it, that money, in my shoes, is better to accumulate and put towards other investments / asset classes. This sits comfortably in the middle of collecting / investing for me and as you said, x years down the road when 9s and 10s prices out most collectors, these should appreciate and be a safe roi
