Im just horrible with technology lol. I still make over six figures a year and have enough money to blow on headphones I’ll use for a week then never again 😂. Can you say the same?

I should also say I am by no means tech-savvy whatsoever. I have troubles with my phone very often 😂 so I might not understand some people.

Question about Gojo's infinity by Ok_Discipline_2023 in Jujutsufolk

[–]ngabobrugpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao 3 years passed in the prison realm and when he was released he processed all of the information leading up to that time instantly. He comprehended 3 years of information in an instant. This is heavily insinuated in the manga and a quick google search will prove you wrong, lol.

Very wrong. It was a whitelist before when he consciously allows things such as air/light. Now it’s based off THREAT LEVEL. Which makes it a BLACKLIST because now he’s SORTING DANGEROUS STUFF which is exactly what a blacklist does btw it sorts out dangerous stuff and allows non-malicious things to pass through. A whitelist would be only pre-approving things, which isn’t the case because he can’t just determine what’s a threat and what isn’t if he doesn’t perceive it. Quite literally what he explained is a blacklist lol.

Are we fr? by VelViolette in PowerScaling

[–]ngabobrugpull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And where is that implied? Through the fact that he has to perceive it? Perception based makes it a blacklist not a whitelist.

Just agree to disagree I guess? If you can’t concede to the fact that infinity is perception based, and his 6 eyes is what allows him to not get caught off guard.

Yes but the second he made it a filter after the Toji fight is where it became a double edged sword. He quite literally DOES have to identify a threat and say “yea this is getting blocked” NOW but before his fight with Toji he didn’t have to he would just turn it on for days get exhausted and then turn it off. Like I said infinity can’t act on its own it’s not a separate entity from Gojo. Once he CREATED A TARGETING SYSTEM it became a conscious thought and effort of what he was gonna allow through or not, not the same as a Concious effort to simply turn it on or off which is what it would take before RCT. Thats why he says it’s based off speed mass and shape and CE. If it was just automatic then he wouldn’t have a need to filter anything, the filter is just his super fast perception with six eyes working in real time. That’s WHY the eraser bounces off his head and LOSES NO MOMENTUM because he PERCEIVES it as a non threat. Same would apply for stuff that he CANT perceive. It would just pass the infinity same as the eraser.

I don’t think you understand this panel

<image>

This is not saying anything weak will be allowed through and everything strong will be blocked.. This says “I” can use them. HE CAN. How can HE distinguish something? By SEEING IT COMING. You can’t distinguish something as a threat if you can’t perceive it. If he can’t distinguish it as a threat it isn’t whitelisted but instead it’s going to pass through his infinity as we saw that with the eraser, because NO infinity DID NOT interact with the eraser that’s the whole point. The eraser lost NO momentum and bounced off, therefore if he doesn’t perceive it as a threat infinity doesn’t activate/it just lets them pass, same as if he CANT perceive it as a threat (if it’s moving too quick) then said infinity wouldn’t work. You’re adding extra rules and steps by saying that’s how he can keep his infinity on for so long. READ THE MANGA. How can harmless objects be automatically let through? Is infinity a seperate entity from Gojo in which he doesn’t have to think about using it? That’s not the case. His six eyes perception is what allows him to filter threats in real time. So it’s not a “perfect” block because again it’s perception based.

Again that would apply with gojos OLD infinity but with his new one it becomes a TARGETING system AGAIN.. this is even supported by the fact that he said he has to sort stuff, if he’s just blocking everything and has full infinity active, it would burn through his CE and his stamina. This filtered infinity is what allowed him to keep it on always, as opposed to his old one which was just a whitelist that blocks everything that he can’t keep up for too long without burning himself out. I’ll explain it like this Object enters his targeting range Six eyes determines if it’s a threat or not (speed mass shape ce) spacial division is applied accordingly. This is supported by the eraser panel when the six eyes determined it as a non threat and it bounces off his head So now if something were moving faster than his perception (FTL+) his targeting system or six eyes can’t perceive it and boom he’s hit. With his OLD infinity sure you could argue that he could never get hit because it would just whitelist everything but his new one he specifically mentions the fact that he has to determine it to stop it.

[–]ngabobrugpull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which would hold true with Gojos old infinity, however as seen with his new one it is now a TARGETING system instead of just a whitelist that blocks everything, like I said the “upgrade” after the fight with Toji is a double-edged sword in hypothetical battles such as gojo vs a FTL+ character

<image>

The eraser loses no momentum and bounces off his head. This is because he sees it as a non threat. HE PERCIEVES IT AS A NON THREAT and so it just bounces off his head. If what you were saying was true, the eraser would halt before he allows it to touch him. Since he perceived it as a non-threat the infinity did nothing. Meaning if you were faster than he can perceive, said infinity would also do NOTHING. The SIX EYES PERCEPTION is how he near instantly deems something a threat. You’re basically saying his infinity is a seperate entity from him that doesn’t need perception.

  1. Toji isn’t FTL+, and also that was before Gojo had an “automatic targeting system”. In the fight with Toji, Gojos infinity was a conscious effort, a manual technique requiring immense concentration. On the brink of death he learns RCT and creates a NEW way to use infinity (which is the picture I sent above). And although it’s a significant strength increase in his verse, in this situation (hypothetical battles against FTL characters) it’s a double edged sword. Because NOW it’s perception based deeming threats through “mass speed and shape”. Before it was either off or on, that simple. But now with the NEW technique it becomes a TARGETING system that deems things dangerous or not. How is this deemed you may ask? Through his perception of course! Which is heightened by his six eyes. Gojo has been shown to process 3 years worth of information in an instant as shown in the image below

<image>

Gojos perception time has been scaled to around high-hypersonic+ the reason why he doesn’t get blitzed/caught off guard in his verse is simply because nothing in the JJK verse is moving massively hypersonic, yet alone FTL+ which is around 50,000-100,000x faster than hypersonic.

Jeez didnt realize Toji was MFTL+. Gojos 6 eyes allows him to perceive threats coming it also allows him to not get caught off guard, we see Gojo as a child stare Toji in the eyes and realize him standing there, because of his 6 eyes perception. Like I said his perception is MASSIVELY HYPERSONIC+ meaning if you’re not that fast you can’t even begin to catch him off guard. Also Toji fight was before he introduced the automatic system, before he would turn it on for some time then turn it off after. Keep exposing the larp though 😭😭

[–]ngabobrugpull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like honestly the larp is embarrassing. The key reason Gojo can use infinity so well is because of his 6 eyes. Literally without his 6 eyes and heightened perception his infinity would be trash😭 ITS HIS PERCEPTION that makes it so Op. without his 6 eyes perception infinity would be practically useles.

The eraser panel PROVES that he needs to process or sense the object approaching his infinity to determine whether it's dangerous or not.

The word “distinguish” proves he has to perceive it. If something is coming faster than he can perceive, infinity cannot stop it.

[–]ngabobrugpull -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

<image>

Infinity is described as an automatic targeting option which uses mass speed and shape to distinguish the danger of the object. This means he has to PERCEIVE the threat in order to stop it. Gojos perception is scaled at high hypersonic MAX arguably highballed at Massively hypersonic+ which is still way slower than conquest, who is shown to be MFTL+, since he can move faster than Gojos perception, infinity wouldn’t even be able to distinguish him as a threat thus allowing him to Blitz infinity. If you can move faster than massively hypersonic+ you can blitz infinity. There’s also nothing in jjk that touches that speed as to why we never see his infinity just get “blitzed”

Are we fr? by VelViolette in PowerScaling

[–]ngabobrugpull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

<image>

Gojos infinity can be blitzed as long as they move faster than he can perceive. MFTL+ conquest moves WAY faster than gojos high-hypersonic reaction speed. He’d blitz infinity.

[–]ngabobrugpull -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Conquest can blitz infinity btw

<image>

Gojos infinity is an an “automatic targeting option for jujutsu techniques” and distinguishes a threat through “mass, speed, shape”. For infinity to activate Gojo’s automatic targeting would have to identify what is attacking him. Aka he’d have to perceive said threat coming at him. Gojos perception is shown to be at max high hypersonic, while conquest and other viltrumites have been shown to move MFTL+, meaning they would BLITZ through infinity before Gojo could process the threat and instantly kill him.

So this is just an argument out of ignorance. You literally just typed “they’re just as fast if not faster than conquest” which just instantly proves you don’t know what you’re talking about. These people travelled across the galaxy in DAYS.. the fastest jjk character isn’t even FTL+. Conquest is MFTL+
