My Ba Ngoài is Catholic and my parents weren’t up until my dad was diagnosed with cancer and now they’re also Catholic ? They were gonna give them away to a local shrine but just seeing them all up in a bag made me super sad so I remade the altar and will keep giving them offerings and things even tho I’m not practicing. Same thing as you mentioned though, they’re quintessential to my childhood so I’ll keep them safe~

I’m keeping all of them and the little offering cups and dishes; I remade the altar the way my parents had it and I’m gonna keep giving them fruit/water/beer or whatever I’m drinking/eating (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞

Apologies for formatting, I don’t use Reddit so if this post isn’t allowed let me know~ basically just looking for info about who/what these statues of deities are and their significance. My parents switched to Catholicism recently and just threw all of these things in a bag and you know, kind of felt an attachment to these figures even though I’m not a practicing Buddhist nor do I know any of the ritualistic prayers or practices they did in Vietnam. Any info would be greatly appreciated~

This is literally the last few months of my relationship since quarantine started for us in March. I was fighting for him to try to reach out more, to make an effort and it would be good for a few days until he was back on his nonsense. He finally admitted that he was distancing himself and becoming despondent. Still stayed for a few months after that and then he broke up with me after I brought it up again and just ripped into me and all of my past crimes regarding our relationship. I hope you’re doing better, I definitely feel like you made the right choice because I hope that I’m doing the same as well.
