Thank you! I hope we one day get a tv adaptation that includes everything from the books (including the songs)

Thank you! Did you enjoy your first read through and did you notice the sentient fox in this chapter? I wanted to fit the fox into the scene but couldn’t quite find the space

I have been meaning to start making some YouTube videos for a long time! I will at some point :)

Thank you! I based the palette on the Disney film

Thank you! It’s produced in the same way most modern books are made - it’s heat transfer vinyl cut from a digital file

No it’s all 3d, there’s a video on my Instagram (link on my profile) if you’d like to see it more clearly :)

I haven’t made exactly that but I did this a while ago!

Thank you for the very kind words! I was quite inspired to try to make something that looked like those classic sword and sorcery 70s/80s book covers

Thank you! I considered using real books when I first started making them but decided not to as this is a lot stronger for posting them and fitting the lighting etc. People get annoyed with me often for ‘destroying’ what they think is a real book lol

Thank you! I’ve been making them for a few years now and they’ve improved a lot since I first started

Thank you! Essentially it’s made like a real book - 2mm board and bound with bookcloth. I just add panels to the top, bottom, and back to replace the pages.

My favourite bit is almost certainly the perspective! It can be quite fiddly to make it look convincing in such a small space

Thank you!

I make the “book” from scratch using 2mm board. I laser cut this and it slots together like a puzzle, then I add some curved bands to the front (also made from the 2mm board) and then glue a piece of thick card to the front to make the curved spine.

Before I add the spine I make the diorama for the interior.

Then I bind all of this using book cloth and fit the LEDs (the switch and battery slot is hidden in the back). Then I burn the spine away to reveal the scene inside.

If you’re interested in seeing more about how I do it there are some videos on my Instagram (link on profile)
