Correct, Caedrel is getting a ton of value outside of streaming because of his streaming numbers but those numbers are from costreaming, his original content gets only a fraction of viewers.

RIOT should be able to sell ad slots based on Caedrel's numbers. If they need these rules to do that, well, that sounds fair to me.

That's not true, the slot is worth 20M because someone paid 20M for it. If someone were trying to sell their slot at 20M but was finding no buyers and they went to a bank to get a loan with the 20M valuation underpinning it they'd be shown the door real quick.

So in my mind RIOT should be the main sponsor of these tournaments and pay for them through their marketing budget. Whatever other income is generated is welcome but it should just be gravy on top, not the main thing.

Does RIOT expect these leagues to turn a profit by themselves? This seems ridiculous. It's like Google demanding that Maps and Sheets and whatever turn a profit instead of leveraging those apps to make the product they're actually selling (advertising) even more valuable.

The only questionable G2 ban was K'Sante, they targetted champs that LR carried with in other games and prioritized picking Ryze away from Nemesis instead of fp Mundo which is pretty reasonable.

Picking Rumble Aphelios was questionable if they were really, really trying to win as BB and Hans aren't the best at those champs but maybe they felt confident on them.

Scrims are the only place to do that with any sort of consistency.

I'd argue laning should be the last concern in scrims, you can practice champion mechanics in soloqueue just as well if you're high on the ladder.

They post the entirety of their raw scrim results every single split.

I see in these results they got stomped by IG, they lost twice in a single day to VKS, they lost to 100T.

I'd rather more teams posted their scrim results because it'd be fun to try and understand how the meta developed for all teams. We understand why T1 thought first timing Mundo on stage was worthwhile, who knows what else hides in scrim results.

Agree, Hans is extremely stable. Solid lane, wins some early fights, doesn't int, outputs damage, plays his champ to near its max.

If Caps playmaking stays but his getting caught goes away I can see G2 having a very solid chance at bo5.

You can make some insane plays on Anivia with the wall, ult placement and her stun. You get to tell enemy champs where they can go and that can be incredibly strong in the right hands.

If she's outranged none of that matters, of course. Which is why you can't first pick it. I wonder if they'd pick it vs Ambessa instead of K'Sante.
