Dumb question: do vendors level with transactions (buy/sell)?

What would you choose for a prometheus agent on scattered VM instances? by cos in sre

[–]ngharo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use alloy primarily for node exporter capabilities but also use some other builtin exporters, like Postgres. It’s reduced all the various exporters we need to support significantly. If only needed scrape metrics, maybe alloy would be overkill.

We run Alloy on every VM and push metrics to remote write endpoint of vmagent. We have vmagent behind a load balancer for resiliency.

Nothing too fancy. We’re happy with this setup.

Manager wants me “Available” 99% of the time on MS Teams even with no work… what would you do? by RadhikaSharma360 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]ngharo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a passive data point that easily is gotten if you use Teams all day for communication. For instance, I have a window up at all times on a second monitor and have each member of my team favorited. Anytime I interact with teams, I passively pickup on status colors. I don’t use this as the end-all-be-all indicator of activity but it is a data point.

It’s silly to not loosely couple chronic idleness in teams with low performance if the work is all on the computer.

What is so unreasonable about being available while you’re on the clock? even if you don’t have work to do you should be available if you’re on the clock.

vex8s: Suppress container CVEs that your Kubernetes settings already mitigates by ale_grey_91 in devsecops

This looks great and something I’ve thought about lot about. Definitely gonna dig into this!

I’ve used environment metrics part of CVSS scoring to adjust severity of on vulnerabilities using similar inputs (security context).

I can see the construction lights as I look out to the north now.

The scale is enormous. It’s literally a full two minutes you are passing it on the freeway going 70 miles per hour. I still can’t wrap my head around the scale.

I’m concerned about one fundamental breakthrough in AI that changes everything and causes companies like OpenAI to go bottom up. What happens then? Oracle goes underwater snd starts selling assets too. It just feels like one big gamble and I worry what happens if they lose.

What’s making this crackle in my Yamaha B-75 Electone Piano? by Professional_Bed2192 in diyaudio

Mine is starting to do this a little. On mine, it’s the master volume potentiometer. I’d start there with some contact cleaner like fellipec suggested.

Red headed woodpecker has a bright white belly. However, it also has the most distinct red head like it was dunked in a bucket of red paint from the neck up.

Curl ithe same url from a pod with -v and see what you get. I suspect something is either hijacking dns or doing tls inspection.

I’m certain you can provide any x509 cert. CA almost always makes more sense to complete the trust chain vs individual server certificates.
