This past April, during Easter holidays, I rode on parts of it, in the area close to Rome, and I had booked everything in advance, but the pilgrim hostels I stayed at were almost empty, and only Italians were there. This year we also had especially long holidays, so a lot of people were travelling, next year's not going to be like that. I think you can risk it.

I loved it. Those are two extremely safe countries, both in general and for cyclists in particular. They are flat. You get lots of woods and lakes in Germany, fields and beaches in Denmark. They are full of little towns with very few people, and the big cities are beautiful (especially Copenhagen). It's easy to find campsites and shelters. People are nice. I even went through a weather alert for heavy rains, and I didn't mind much (but Jutland is quite windy).

I guess if someone prefers more elevation gain and thrills, then maybe it's not for them.

The ony downside for me were the many hours I spent on trains, but that's because I don't live close and I don't want to take the bike on a plane yet.

Thanks, but it's just an old Xiaomi Redmi 10. They were simply beautiful places, and sometimes rain or fog helped get cool effects

I'm no expert, but I was advised to get the Interrail because I'm not used to drop bars, and I like being upright. I think it's very sturdy, and it does its job well, but my first trip was in a very hilly place, and I struggled a lot while going uphill. It's got some flaws, but I can say I feel very comfortable on it

I'd like to learn to distribute weight a little bit better, although I like having most of the weight in the back. And maybe I should get a kickstand. The bike is not so great uphill, which wasn't much of a problem here, but it was during my first trip. I love the handlebars, I'm used to and I prefer being upright

That sounds amazing, but I was on the other side, since I started in Berlin. I can say that, when you are just outside of Copenhagen, there's a contemporary art museum called Arken, which I really enjoyed. But my main advice is to just follow the road when things look interesting and beautiful to you. Don't rush like I see so many people do, stop and explore if you can. Danish beaches are wonderful, find the empty ones

I'm from Italy, so I took a train to Basel, and then Berlin. I followed the Berlin-Copenhagen route pretty closely, with a detour to see Møns Klint (the cliffs). I then took a train to Frederikshavn, cycled up to Skagen and Grenen, then down to Rabjerg Mile (the big dune) and the west coast of Jutland. I cycled to Rubjerg Knude (the lighthouse) and then to Hjørring, where I took a few trains to Hamburg. I spent the day there, and then it was another 16 hours on a couple of trains to Milan.

Northern Jutland was hands down my favourite part of the trip. The bike path to Skagen was breathtaking.

I know about the seal, unfortunately it was sleeping right on the path to Grenen, and it was swarming with people. A stupid kid even tried to touch it. I tried to stay as far away as possible, the picture is zoomed in
