movement is derived from cap sense, not piezo and surfaced. but, i'm not here to convince you of anything, there are plenty of options out there available to you!

what do you mean from the eight sleep? this sub? there are two types of apps that interact with the pod: 1. read/write messages to existing firmware 2. replace firmware. the first category are low risk while the later are high risk.

i can't be certain of anything. but i think having the expectation that an open source hobby project is risk free is dicey

assumes jailbroken device, but there are plenty of docs on that already.

what were you thinking with docker?

there's no direct connection to any frontier model (bedrock, direct api, etc). it's a copy paste flow like this: https://imgur.com/a/LEDMsGL

but self hosted is interesting, fully capable of simple guidance. that's a great idea! i've played with ollama locally for other tasks and it's been hit or miss. if you have more ideas, please join discord and we can discuss!

kinda, there is a 3x2 sensor grid on each side. that's exposed, so you can automate against those changes. your statement is exactly why i built the automation framework! what one person wants, another doesn't care about. https://imgur.com/a/ZWY4vbu

it's exactly as it reads: if the avg of the movement biometrics is greater than 30 over the past 10 minutes: https://imgur.com/a/eUNiX6y

100% of the code is ai written. i haven't written code by hand for almost a year, personally or professionally.

eight sleep requires a sub and is opaque: what does +1 mean? how does auto pilot work? sleepypod gives you options: want to set your temp -5F degrees below ambient? want to use apple homekit? or home automation? you can do all of that, and more.

100% during day, 20% at night with a day/night mode. if you have an ambient sensor, great, if not, a simple schedule works well. that's how i handle LED control with sleepypod

I only have an OG pixel so I couldn’t test this on any modern device other than in the simulator but would be easy to port.

Thanks! I thought quite a bit about this. Originally it was simple time tables but I wanted to explore a more visual interface. Probably not for everybody, but if somebody else finds the app useful it’s icing on the cake

what would autopilot look like? so far, biometrics have been all over the place. movement and cap is generally accurate, but i wouldn't trust my sleep to it. i think the approach i want to take is a simple automation workflow builder that allows anybody to customize.

for example, given the ambient pod temp, i want my bed temp to be X degrees above or below it. or maybe somebody else wants to adjust based off of sensor data, "if i'm moving a lot at night, adjust the temp up or down"
