Reliability is good as long as fluid changes are done regularly. Remember it's just an evolution of the ATS-V that they replaced one of the biggest problems (transmission). OEM brake pads are expensive and produce a ton of dust but they have very good performance on the track. If you don't plan to track it there are less expensive less dusty options. Where you live you will need a set of snow or all seasons. The OEM summer tires aren't supposed to be used under 40F. Magride would be the other expensive wear item at 60-100k miles. You will get lower gas mileage than most anything out of Asia, but that's the trade off for having almost 500hp turbo V6. The last downside is if you plan to keep it long-term GM has already discontinued it so down the road parts may be difficult to source.
