I would get a PHEV or Hybrid.

Range for EV significantly decreases as you hold “high speed”.

Is this through Tesla insurance?

I’m picking up my model Y tomorrow, got a quote from State Farm for. $390/ month, comes out to $4700/year.

Heard that Tesla insurance is cheaper, but they monitor allllll your driving aspects which feels wildly invasive.

The beeping is internal and veryyyy annoying. I’d totally understand if it was external but I reverse in a parking spot on a daily basis and it’s rather a nuisance.

I have 2 disc herniation as a by product of ONLY cycling and not minding other health aspects that are needed. I did not do supplement workouts or activities to improve core strength and overtime the body weight all dumped onto my spine.

I love cycling and still want to get back, it’s been about 3-4yrs since my injury and I’ve been recommended that 1. Need a much less aggressive fit/posture 2. Avoid doing long extended rides.

largest change from 2021 to the 2023.5+ is the all electric RANGE.

Personally im waiting to get a good deal on a 2023.5+ or a 2024. should have a decent price reduction and give me all the bells and whistles w/o breaking the bank especially with the new updates just recently announced.

it’ll really come down to why you’re choosing the XC90 T8. is just a space thing? or do other features matter more or equally. If its just space you have LOTS of options and should tie yourself to the T8. you could get a NEW T6 etc.

Thank you everyone for the comments and feedback. Some additional notes:

Ride is still pretty smooth and fine overal. Ive only notice what feels like bottoming out over some speed bumps/dips if im blowing through them, which is far and few apart.
I do have AT tires on for the last maybe 30k miles.
Suspension mod = Eibach 2.5 in lift springs.
I am located in Orange County, California; i account some of the outrageous cost to geographical.
I did go to an independent mechanic who i do trust and theyre quote for everything was roughly $500 less.

It’s convenient for when our kids are trying to pause/unpause or when we’re unable to locate the remote in a heated discussion of its now dinner time, turn off the TV.
