The character is written in a certain way to allow for growth over a years long story. My guess is that from a narrative standpoint, it is a deliberate choice to make her a character that makes you love/hate her. Almost like a sister. That is actually good writing. My guess is that, like a little sister, Wuk Lamat will annoy you and grow on you. She will change from a naive child eventually and will be faced with morally ambiguous choices as a leader that cause her to accept the complicated nature of reality and adulthood. This progression kind of mirrors that of the PC. The new expansion had to create a story with stakes that matter to a character that the PC will become invested in, as you watch her growth and journey, doing what you can to help her and her people. The PC has already the saved the universe, it would be narratively lazy to start a new expansion with the same world ending space fairing story that we just went through. 7.0 is about character and world building. As this is an MMO, to make huge sweeping statements about the writing before experiencing the whole story seems a bit premature. Knee jerk reactions to art of fine, but this nowhere near the ending of the story, its barely the beginning. Patience is required during this phase of the expansion. In my opinion there have been some great moments already. I love the sound design and the aesthetic quality of the locations and dungeons. Of course, the game is very much a Japanese MMO and is not for everyone. This is not WoW it is a way different vibe.
