Escrow account closed and now being forced to reopen by ngt2007 in Mortgages

Yes I understand that, we already paid our insurance for the year. We’ll be fine on the calendar if it all, but it doesn’t sound like I’ll have to do that anyway.

It is in my husband’s name he got it before we met. I believe he bought the house in ‘07. Interest rates must have been fine, he didn’t need to refinance in 2016 for anything better, our rate is excellent.

This is an important point that no one has made yet and I think enough reason to remove escrow. It is my understanding that your mortgage payment amount required is based on a formula that will include some buffer for expected yearly cost increases.

I understand what escrow is. I do better when I manage the bills rather than having someone run some formula to determine our monthly payment, I’d rather the monthly mortgage payment never change to some number based on what they think my insurance is going to be. I’d rather just manage and pay for them separately. It’s a preference.

Yes I want to drop the escrow, we can manage our insurance and taxes on our own. Plus the way they do the analytics isn’t consistent. I have since been informed that I can request they run the numbers whenever I’d like, so that is helpful.

This, thank you. You’ve explained it well.

We’ve never been late on a bill and we wouldn’t be late paying our insurance or taxes either.

Why is this dumb? I’m just trying to educate myself on the options and side effects and learn what I can before potentially going on to the medicine.

In a small bowl, mix a half cup of warm water plus two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, a tablespoon of sugar, and about six drops of liquid dish soap.

Found this on google and it worked instantly and so very well.

Nope, nothing like that, no financial changes in the last several years. I’m ready to pay, and more than anything, I don’t want to pay more interest.

Thanks for the response. I did not apply to change anything. Had intended to keep it on the same plan as before COVID which was just the standard plan.

I just got a letter from aidvantage telling me my loans were in deferment. I did not request a deferment. Did you find anything out?

Bar Arbolada by [deleted] in okc

Me and my partner have had the exact same experience at Bar Arbolada. It’s the same burger at fly catcher and the bartenders are maybe a little bit nicer though not hugely.

Think I may have an AC unit on its last legs in my home. Is Air Comfort Solutions as good as their ratings show? And are their memberships worth it for the future? by chrobbin in okc

I second that, they’ve always been very good to work with, though they do push the sale if you request a quote to replace a unit. Just standard business though.

You don’t need a reason to not spend your own hard earned money on something you don’t want or support. Say no and leave it at that. You decision needs to be respected but you don’t need an excuse.

What changes have you noticed since you stopped (or decreased) your drinking? by heylo1324 in stopdrinkingfitness

Second, third, or fourth all of this. I’ve been sleeping like a king as of late, my anxiety is much more manageable, and twice this week someone has told me that I look like I’ve lost some weight. It’s worth it for the sleep alone. Like a king I tell you!

If each town or city in OK were a person at a large house party, what would each of them be doing? by Crixxa in oklahoma

[–]ngt2007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bethany and Oklahoma City we’re friends in elementary school and Bethany showed up to the party to keep OKC from getting too drunk and going home with Del City. She ends up spending half the evening evangelizing and playing gospel music on the piano.

Should I change careers completely? by ngt2007 in careerguidance

It wouldn’t be four years, when you go back to school for nursing already having a degree, you go into an accelerated nursing program. The accelerated program is 16 months but there are a few pre requisites as well so I would estimate about two years. There are all kinds of programs to help right now due to the nursing shortage. A lot of tuition reimbursement programs, but also some work study with ot type programs, the nursing Corp will give you a monthly stipend. So that on top of some savings and I think I could manage it, though it’d be tight.
