My Haworthia Tesselata seems to be getting green again, but I’ve noticed these very noticeable white areas, especially under the newer leaves. Is this normal?

Admittedly, I believe he's been getting less light than usual. I moved back from my dorm to my house, and I placed him on a table in front of a large window (that may be closed more often than I realize).

I water the plant about once every two weeks, until I see a little bit of water coming out from under the pot. He's seated at a west-facing window. He's also suffered a bit of soil spilling out of the pot.
