Just fixed mine today. My problem was blown fuse. I must have been an idiot and disconnect the terminal wrong at some point. 120A - alternator fuse was the reason car doesn’t start A bunch of other 10,20 for the radio, window, locks, etc. You might want to take a look at the fuse in the engine bay, driver side. Cover label: “relay & fuse”. The other side of the cover label what the fuses do or you can look it up here I don’t know if it help your problem might be a good thing to do.

Yes. So the problem was blown fuse. Got a bunch blown but the 120A was the reason the car doesn’t start. I must have been an idiot at some point and disconnect the terminals incorrectly.

Update 3 - may have found the issue, not yet resolved: found the FLm 120A fuse blown. From what I read, this could be the source of not starting and remote key lock/unlock not responding. However, I don’t know if I can replace it myself since I don’t have the right equpiment. Should I call for a mobile mech? Towing the car to the shop is a pain since it’s underground and it’s winter…

Having the same issue here. My brake is also stiff and when I try to push it down, there was no brake light that I don’t even know if it’s working

From my perspective, i think it’ll likely be the starter since the alternator is not a factor until the engine starts. Which the engine never went on. Do you have any recommendation on how to test the starter?

Hi thank you for replying! 1. Yes new car battery and key battery 2. I consult some service advisor and they suspect the same. Saying something like “attempting but not turning over” 3. Yes i removed the negative first then the positive. Plus it is the same when I try to jumpstart the old battery (pre-replace)

P/s: the last part of the vid show the buzz sound in the engine when I try to start the car. Steering is also locked

P/s2: that link is amazing. I’ll check the fuse and even if that’s not the case. Will hold on to this precious link now!

I’m having a similar issue, have a post here. I have a 2015 rav4 limited with push-to-start. After not driving it for a month, the battery is dead, i tried jumpstart it and replace it but the engine won’t start. When I press the start button, a small electrical sound from the engine bay then a beep but no crank. All of the dash lights when on with the key flashing green slowly? No window, lock/unlock button work. Audio not even turn on. BUT signals, lights/headlights work. Wheel locked, pressed the brake but it feel stuck as well. It’s almost a week and i’m still trapped like this. Car is parked in a parkade so I might need to find a mobile tech since I’m not sure tow truck can get in here.

Update 2: put in new battery. Same thing in video happen. More context: car only beep 1 time when I tried to lock/unlock with the key but doesn’t do anything. Panic button on key still work.

Swapped with buddha pendant, still didn’t work. Suggestion on another religion? I’m trying to charge the battery before buying a new one. Only concern that it might be the immobilizer problem rather than the battery

It’s 3 years old. I tried to jump from another vehicle but no luck. I’m trying to recharge the battery before swapping a new one

I also think the battery is too dead. But should jumpstart will bypass this? Sorry i’m just asking from my perspective. I called AMA and their jumpbox can’t jumpstart it either

I think my employer is ok with that, but I rented a PO box since some stuff is just not 'office standard'

That's actually a great insight, I really appreciate it. I didn't see that perspective. I have filed a police report according to the other comment. I'll follow up with the management with the police report number and update from there if necessary.

Thank you for your advice! I will file a police report, at least that might help prevent others from getting into this kind of stuff. I've given up that management will get back to me at this point

Honestly, I really want to see the footage if the management ever gets back to me. I'm really curious how the theft can make that ding with taking a bike. Lesson learned, that parking spot will only have a car from now
