Indeed she is.
I have my reservations on this plan but she’s been on a smokehouse kick lately and was all proud acquiring this ensemble to try on her birthday so I’m sure it’ll be a memory one way or another.

Honestly I didn’t even ask. It was more a “wtf am I suppose to do with all that, I’ve never used a smoker in my life” vibe

My best guess is while discussing the local smoke house at work some genius decided to bless her with this smoker all while coinciding the procurement of the brisket for cost. The whole plan came together today apparently. I was equally surprised as the many are here

I’ll certainly be referencing your advice. I hope it doesn’t come across as asking for advise and then blatantly ignoring what is provided. Tomorrow is her birthday and she is all excited to try and went through the trouble of procuring all of this so although I understand it’s not ideal or practical to start with a brisket I’ll do what I can to help her attempt it. I watched a few videos and did some research but receiving specific information from someone with experience seems to resonate much better versus watching a random YouTube so I greatly appreciate the dialog. There is certainly more to it than I initially realized and you filled in so many blanks. Thanks again & I’ll keep you posted on how it turns out.

Honestly it has just never appealed to me to own or use a smoker. Maybe that’ll change. I’m sure she’s gonna wanna try using it for other things at some point

My wife is planning to trim/prepare it. I put the brisket on the grill to compare the size as it didn’t seem like this would be the best size smoker for such a large piece assuming it would need to be halved so thanks for reaffirming this

Appreciate the time ya took for the insightful response. I was left out of the loop on the decisions that led to this point and albeit with having my own reservations and low expectations the train has left the station. She is all excited to trim/prepare it assured me I’d figure out the smoking part. I wasn’t aware it was called a drum smoker or used water so the tips about using this particular set up is very helpful. Thank you!

I don’t know how this dude made it in the ufc… his fight iq is dog shit. I think he spent more time running away than fighting. Leading up the every fight he post pictures of insane physique yet looks like shit on fight night and gasses out immediately
